Prologue
I enjoyed some thorough gaming yesterday, after a long time of basically just letting the bot run wild (ha. ha. ha.). And there are a few new rule-sets that made me consider Gramel the Hunger even more, especially in combination with Lorkus. Guess which?

Gramel gets a really useful ability at level two - Relentless Strike. Since he has 3 attack types, all his attacks will always do not only the full damage, but sometimes even an extra damage point. Pretty awesome, right?
That means that he's quite useful for a combination with Lorkus, as he has three chances of leeching, and sometimes even more than usual.

Hunger Leech Rulesets & Abilities
We're talking about these two abilities:

That refers to damage dealt to HEALTH - not to Armor. That can sometimes be a problem, for example when all units have Void Armor.

For the Relentless Strike, these two come to mind to give an extra boost for the Leech, as Gramel will do an extra damage:

As always with those two, leech is a great combination. Especially if you have monsters with resistance abilities like the ones above:

A great ability to combine the Hunger Leech with is any kind of healing, even corrupted healing. It's likely that Gramel gets Life faster than the CH reduces it.

Generally awesome for Gramel: Explosive Weaponry (3 explosions, 2 with scattershot - total chaos!), No pain, no gain (all three attacks get boosted, combine with Calambity if you have it)
For the same reason we love Explosive Weaponry, we want to avoid Collateral Damage.

Battle 1: Corrupted Leech
This wasn't a no brainer at all, but a very close call. It's a very enjoyable battle:

Especially towards the end, the Health-Boosted Gramel makes all the difference. I do have the Barashkukor waiting for a chance, too, but Gramel always just leeches enough to be healed back to sustainable health by the Delver who I really have to get to level 6.

Down to 1 - up to nine. Down to 1 - up to 4. How much damage does the Infernal? Yeah.

Battle 2: Leech faster than the poison works.
This one is exemplary for the power of this combo. It's not only the poison - also the Thorns hitting back at Gramel each time his melee attacks lands. The Triage and Repair does not help. Great line-up by the opponent! But not enough against my combo.

Battle 3 - Relentless Leech
This is the one to show the power of Relentless Strike. Luckily for me, the opponent chooses Harklaw as tank in this Silver League Tournament - which I finished second! 600 SPS! So cool! But that's not important right now. Gramel rules this one. The way it hammers down on each of the opponent monsters? Beautiful. 3 damage to Harklaw with each Melee or Ranged hit, after taking out the armor.

The only downside is the relatively low speed - If Ranged and Melee miss, there's only Magic. Or: There's still magic. Glass leeched half full, always.
Also, I should've brought in the Gonach Excavator, to put between Manta and Gramel. That would've ended the game even faster.

Conclusion
Definitely a new favorite combination. The new rule sets really favor an already favored Leeching Hunger, due to Relentless strike. You'll see me using this one quite a bit!
