Why VENARI WAVESMITH is an underrated card in Splinterlands 💪

Hey everyone,

I've played a lot of Splinterlands in the last few days and I'm constantly trying to improve my team and my strategy. I came across the Venari Wavesmith card, which I think is very strong but also still pretty cheap. In this post I would like to introduce the card and show why it is a great addition to any water team.

Why playing with the Water team can be a game changer

I prefered the Death team for a long time because I really like the Haunted Spirit. In addition to the Undead Priest, the Twisted Jester and some other this team is pretty strong and I always liked using it in fights.

But now I kind of changed my favorite team. The water team can be really powerful, especially if you choose Alric Stormbringer as a Summoner because he increases the magic attack of all your magic monsters by 1 which will make your team so much stronger if you choose the right monsters. I recently won a lot of games with this summoner and the good thing is that you don't have to invest in an expensive new summoner as everyone can use him. Sure, if you want a higher lvl summoner you need to pay for that but a lvl 1 summoner will be good enough (at least for the start and Broze leagues for sure).

So what cards should you play? Well, if you select Alric Stormbringer as a Summoner you want to choose as many magic monsters as possible. There are a lot of Water cards with magic attack but you can also find some neutral cards that you can use. Here are a few of the cards I like to play:

This team alone is really strong and has a good chance to win against any other team, especially because magic attacks will assail the opponent cards health every time even when the card has armor. The only problem is that most magic cards have just a small number of health themself. So what's the best way to deal with that?

And that's where Venari Wavesmith can help you out a lot. Not only is this card a magic card as well but it also has the Protect ability. This ability will add 2 armor to every monster of your team so (unless your opponent is playing with a lot of magic monsters as well) your magic cards are well protected. This way you can defend your small health cards but also increase the attacking power of your lineup because when using Alric Stormbringer this card will have 2 magic attack as well. Pretty impressive, right? And all that for "just" 5 mana which is a reasonable amount for such a strong card.

Should you play with this card?

I think that Venari Wavesmith can strengthen every Water team with it's Protect ability and magic attack. So you should consider using it as well, it has helped me out a lot. Don't believe me? Then take a look at this streak I had yesterday:

Sure, you won't win every game with this card alone. Your winning chances are also depending on your other cards and the lineup of your opponent but I still think this card is amazing. Right now (25/09/2021) you can buy it as cheap as $1.71 so if you compare that to other cards it is a deal you can't say no to I guess. So don't sleep on that card and get yourself one. I am sure it will help you as much as it is helping me.

Anyways, that's all for today. I hope you liked my post and I would love to hear your opinion about Venari Wavesmith in the comments.

Cheers ✌
