RE: Splinterlands Art Contest! // Week 163 // 10 Booster Pack Prize!

in Splinterlands2 years ago (edited)

Actually, downvoting is for disagreeing with rewards not the content of the post... but it's your stake to do with as you please.

I didn't scold you but just pointed out it's ungrateful and quite rude to state that the name of this community project should be changed just because you don't agree with the outcome.

Much of this contest has been created, run, curated, and the winners selected all by one person. That person does many many many other things for Splinterlands and the Hive community as a whole. To degrade the whole project just because you get upset about how you feel things should be is an insult to all the hard work and support that person has put in to build this.

Now that help is on the way and restructuring and more organization is being implemented to address all the things you are rage quitting over is not very supportive to this project or the community as a whole. So, i get your points and agree to some degree with some of them and then i disagree with your attitude and approach to how you chose to express yourself.

The CONTEST is open for you in the future.. and if you were blacklisted i wouldn't be wasting my precious time to explain all of this to you. If you were blacklisted then you would have been muted in the community and had your curation vote (Which was very large) taken back. So, as i said, best wishes to you moving on and moving forward.

It's just sad that more empathy, understanding, and compassion isn't considered to be put forth and afforded towards those that work really hard to offer these opportunities. But i guess everyone is a critic...

Sort:

I understand your position and appreciate your time and support for the community, I really do.
But never at any time insult anyone, And what I am saying is because it is the truth, it is not an insult, this is pure and simple support for the community, but that does not mean that what I say is true.
And I continue to support them, I already removed the negative vote, but the way they choose the winners, makes me feel that my work is very bad, and that is not healthy for me, I am not ungrateful at all, it just is what it is, and what I feel.
And I am not saying that they change the name of the community, only that of the interaction with the weekly art.
"weekly art raffle" and curation for the most robust works as they have done.
I am very grateful to be heard as well.

I hear you, man. I think your art is fantastic. The curation you have received should encourage the fact that your art is good. You have won before as well.

Not winning a contest can be a motivating force to keep on keeping on... or you can choose to be discouraged by it and do what you will based on that negativity.

It's healthy to look at the big picture overall and stay optimistic. Anyone can help encourage and/or constructively criticize or express concerns but it's often the way we go about it that can turn things sour.
