Hi everyone! I'm here today showing you 7 different ways to earn crypto in Splinterlands! These are all things that I do in the game. I must be doing something right as I am in the top ten of the most valuable decks in Splinterlands. Nothing is guaranteed here, these are just my experiences with the game. You do not have to be a rocket Scientist to earn crypto. I am just a Mom of three and I have made a great nest egg all by myself playing and collecting cards in Splinterlands and blogging on Hive! There are lots of ways to earn DEC, (Dark Energy Crystals) the in-game token, HBD, and Hive power and cards which are all NFT's! Let's go check out all the ways to earn now!
The screenshot below was about a week ago! I was so excited to find my name there among the top ten most valuable collections! I was so happy as I have made something great for myself and my family! I am a stay-at-home Mom of a 25-year son who has Cerebral Palsy. I am his home health aide. I have created this 100K Splinterlands account plus a #1 Guild and am proud of myself! I love it here, the community is so awesome and the opportunities are unlimited! I pulled my first Alpha Gold Foil Legendary long ago, a Spirit of the Forest. It is now worth 1.5K! There are only 3 for sale! The next price is 3K and 5K! I am so happy I know how to HODL! I plan on using some of this for buying a house, hopefully by next year!
1.) When you battle and win a ranked battle or win in a tournament, you earn DEC! You can also earn by battling your daily quest and opening the loot chests and receiving your end-of-season rewards loot chests which are given out every 2 weeks.
2.) Create great Splinterlands content on the Hive Blockchain and earn upvotes from Splinterlands and the community in HBD and Hive power! You can even make a video on the Splinterlands @3speak community and receive upvotes for that! Follow the guidelines in the Splinterlands post about it HERE
3.) Flippening! Flippening is when you buy any Splinterlands packs whether they are Alpha, Beta, Orbs, Untamed, or Dice packs, and pull a great value card. You can then sell it or HODL it and over time watch the price rise. You are not guaranteed to pull something great but over time and with potions, I eventually always do!
4.) Rent your cards out! You can go to peakmonsters.com and rent out your cards! Some cards are cheap but leveled up legendaries and Summoners do very well! So many people have been renting and I see a shortage of rentals lately after the players are renting them out to get a higher collection power to enter tournaments.
5.) Use your referral link to sign up new players with the Splinterlands affiliate program! You earn 5% for life when they buy a spellbook, packs, land, or potions in-game. This can add up quickly if you have a big following or just know a lot of people.
6.) Trade Cards & DEC. There is a buy-sell channel in the Splinterlands Discord where players trade. You do need to know the person as if you don't you will risk losing your money or cards. There is a big community and you can check out the channel where players will vouch for one another after deals. I prefer using Monstermarket.io as I get 3% cashback. When I was building up my deck I did use this a lot though to get cards I needed and trade with extras I had. DEC has been very low at times and you can buy it, wait until it goes back up which is often during the weekends I noticed.
7.) Win Giveaways! Yes, there are a ton of giveaways throughout the community. I have seen players make huge collections entering them all. Follow Splinterlands on Hive and check out all of their many contests and giveaways to earn! They have over 5 or 6 a week, just check their blog. Players also give away a ton, including myself! There is a giveaways channel in Discord for you to view and search giveaways on Hive posts, Twitter, etc. Follow me on Thetatv, Twitch, and YouTube. I am clove71 on all three. Right!? I searched a long time for the perfect crypto game and fell in love with Splinterlands (Steem Monsters) at the time- and it's been great ever since!
That really is an incredible effort Chris! I play Splinterlands every day and I can't believe the rate of development, nor the dramatic increase of the value of my collection. If I viewed it purely as an investment I think it's gone up X14 but that doesn't include the fun of playing and even more recently the fun of coordinating brawls with my clan. I'm so super impressed with your collection... that is amazing! Well done!
Thank you so much! Yes! Values have gone up so much lately, especially Alpha cards and Legendary Summoners! It is impressive to me as I am just an average hourly paid worker here in the U.S. trying to get by like most out here barely earning a minimum wage! In just a few years I put everything (time and any extra spare change lol) into Splinterlands! I never play other games and instead of normal people spending money on haircuts, manicures or restaurants I bought Splinterlands packs or cards off the market, LOL! I've loved it from the start, I was always searching for a great crypto game and I found it! :-)
It's honestly wild to me that I pretty much have the value of a car tied up in digital collectible cards... never in my wildest dreams would I have predicted that for myself... so I can't imagine what it must be like for you... working an hourly job but having a top end annual salary worth of collectibles. It's amazing!
Personally, even if the card values go to zero tomorrow, I'll still enjoy playing the game... even if it was just me and bots.
I hate the bots, LOL!! Yes, it's funny when some players have called me a whale- I'm like...nooooo I don't think so as whales are rich! I think it is pretty amazing though that an average person can make something out of a game like this. I plan on cashing out some cards next year, maybe like 10 or 15% or so to help buy a house next year! Other than that it is HODL time! :-)

Yes! Take advantage of the Splinterlands and players upvotes that are available now for players who do not have much money. You can earn it- it just takes some work but you can do it! Grind and earn! :-)

Yesss!! Thank you- I was surprised too! hahaha! I started with literally 1.2K in Bitocin and like $400 in Litecoin and put it all in Splinterlands- I grinded every day for a long time- and poof! I was in there like swimwear! hahaha! It's a great game- so much more than just battling!
The land update will bring you more success. I'm sure you have bought a lot of land.
I see land as a passive source of income.
Unfortunately I could just buy 5 plots. I wish I had bought more at that price.
