When we talk about Dragons, there summoners like Daria Dragonscale, Delwyn Dragonscale, Selenia Sky, Byzantine Kitty and the more famous Archmage Arius and many others!!
And when we speak of monsters, the number is even more with monsters like Manticore, Fire Spitter, Dragon Jumper, Gold Dragon, Robo-Dragon Knight being some of those we use more frequently and Chaos Legion edition has added few more of those like Chaos Dragon, Desert Dragon, Void Dragon and the life has been more easier battling by using more of these dragons!!!!

The battle I fought for this week's challenge was with 17 MANA cap and magic monsters were out of reach as the lost magic rule set was there with another rule set of heavy hitters which enables to attack with double power on a monster which is stunned!!!
With magics out, I thought it's best to use some dragons and hence, I selected Daria Dragonscale summoner with my monsters lineup as below!!

Lineup:

1. Failed Summoner:

Since the MANA cap was less, I wanted a low MANA cost monster with good health and Failed Summoner was the best bet for me among the ones I have in Earth splinter with just MANA cost of Two.

2. Fungus Fiend:

Used this Zero cost monster to delay my other monsters getting to front as it has 3 health and can last a blow or 2 and will allow my other monsters to follow it to have 1 or 2 more rounds of attacks.

3. Screeching Vulture:

First of the Two opportunity monsters I used in this battle and it can also scavenge to have more health with each monster's removal on either side.

4. Dragon Jumper:

The Second opportunity monster and it is also the answer to the other rule set of heavy hitters as it can stun the monsters.

5. Brownie:

Used this to increase the speed of the monsters I used besides increasing their melee attack as it also has inspire ability.

6. Furious Chicken:

Lastly, I used this other Zero cost monster for any sneak attack, infact there was much of sneak attack here.

Opponent used Life Splinter with summoner Lorna Shine with monsters Pelacor Conjurer, Silvershield Bard, Celestial Harpy, Stitch Leech, Elven Cutthroat and Uraeus.

Battle:

Round 1:

The low MANA cap battles as we know, will always be hard to win, but, with right combination of the monsters for the rule sets we will have, we can always make it possible and this was one of those perfect lineups for the rule sets as we see below.
Opponent had 3 sneak attack monsters in Stitch Leech, Elven Cutthroat and Uraeus and to add to that, there was that opportunity monster of Celestial Harpy which resulted in removal of Furious Chicken and Brownie in that order from my lineup.
Opponent lost a monster in Silvershield Bard to end this round.

Round 2:

The Two opportunity monsters I used were always looking out for lowest health monster and Stitch Leech was next there on their radar and it got removed in this round becoming the only monster to be removed.
The stun did the trick here to get rid of the mentioned monster.

Round 3:

The benefit of flying monsters was visible in this battle as Dragon Jumper evaded few attacks to survive this round and Fungus Fiend wasn't that lucky as it got removed in this round!!

Round 4:

Uraeus was the next target for opportunity monsters and it got removed.
Meanwhile, Dragon Jumper evaded one more attack and survived for another round!!

Round 5:

Celestial Harpy was next in line to be attacked by the only 2 monsters which were attacking from my side and it has to go in this round.

Round 6:

Elven Cutthroat is probably one of the best 3 MANA cost monsters because of it's speed and attack when maxed out, but, it didn't have a chance to cross this round as it got removed to leave only non attacking Pelacor Conjurer to keep the battle alive for some more time for opponent.

Round 7:

Pelacor Conjurer was nothing without any support for it and surrendered in this round to end the battle!!!

Questions and Answers:

Did my strategy work? What will I try differently next time?

I think usage of 2 opportunity monsters with one of them being stun ability monster did the trick for me.
Although only 2 monsters were attacking, all others contributed in this win by protecting the 2 monsters which were attacking and thus made this win possible.

Do I like DRAGONS? Why or why not?

Who doesn't like dragons? I mean, we all love dragons as those are awesome and contribute a lot in the wins.
I just have a level 5 dragon summoner in Daria Dragonscale, but it just keeps getting me wins because of the awesome dragon monsters I have!!!

The spirited attack from opponent was too good, but, 2 Two attacking monsters outclassed those because of the flying ability and also the stun and it could have gone other way if the Dragon Jumper was removed a round or 2 early.
This was one of those perfect low MANA cap battles, wasn't it?
Thanks for going thru this and witnessing this battle :)

Thanks and Have a good day :)
