Splinterlands | Master Oogway Tortisian Fighter Challenge.

For those who have watched Kung Fu Panda 3, you probably have it in the back of your mind that the Tortisian Fighter kinda looks like Master Oogway ... at least when he was in his youth.

Anyway, you are not reading this for my irrelevant recollections but some insights into using this lovely Common, Untamed Edition card.

The Tortisian Fighter is not incredibly blessed with the best of stats and most of you probably did not spare this beauty a second thought or tried leveling it up.

That is because the Tortisian Fighter, like many other low mana and less powerful cards, is very particular when it comes to the rule sets that bring out its full potential.

1: The Equalizer Rule Set

Watch the Battle on Splinterlands!

Notice my Lvl 4 (Has shield ability) Tortisian Fighter at the back of my deck. Equally, notice my opponent's Sand Worm which has the sneak ability and 5x melee damage.

Thanks to the ruleset, my Tortisian Fighter started with 14 health. The shield ability nullified most of the strength of the Sand Worm.

I ended up protecting my heavy hitter, Captain's Ghost, who did plenty of damage and helped me secure the win in this match.

2: The Equalizer and Super Sneak Rule Set

For those who are lucky to own a Lvl 8-10 Tortisian Fighter, this is for you.

We have already covered the Equalizer ability in the previous section, so let me go straight into the Super Sneak rule set and what makes the Tortisian Fighter the perfect reverse tank.

The repair ability at Lvl 8 makes this card the best reverse tank. With boosted health due to the Equalizer ability, the Tortisian Fighter will have a massive health advantage coupled with the shield ability.

Since the shield ability repairs the armor of the monster taking the most damage, the Tortisian Fighter will continuously repair its armor making it last longer in the field.

You will, therefore, protect most of your monsters in your backline while doing plenty of damage to the opponent's monsters.

Unfortunately, mine is still at Lvl 4 so I cannot demonstrate this scenario with live results. Hopefully, you can use your imagination or do it practically and put a link in the comment section for me to see.

See you in the next one.
