Splinterlands Diary 19.10.22 - Back To Basics

Hi, Hive! Finally got some time to blog and today I tried a lot of different strategies with the Water element and the new cards from Riftwatchers edititon.

In one of the battles the Back To Basics rule came out and since I'm playing in Wild format I decided to try new cards with classic summoner Alric Stormbringer boosting magical attacks.

So, my lineup:

• The first position is the powerful neutral card COEURL LURKER with good speed and attack;
• Second position - free TORRENT FIEND to give mages a little head start;
• Third position - the mighty mage DJINN OSHANNUS with excellent speed and a strong attack, reinforced by the summoner;
• Fourth position - a new, no less dangerous mage RUNEMANCE KYE, with a lot of health, a strong attack and a shield, perfect for protection from archers;
• Fifth position - another mage with a lot of health NERISSA TRIDAWN;
• sixth position - fast and effective archer KULU SWIMHUNTER.

It's funny that in the enemy's lineup there were also DJINN OSHANNUS, NERISSA TRIDAWN and KULU SWIMHUNTER, to whom the summoner
KELYA FRENDUL had increased speed and shields, and DIEMONSHARK on the first position was a bit of a concern, so it was a very hot game.

At the end of the first round I lost COEURL LURKER, but my opponent also lost DIEMONSHARK, and the fight went to the exhaustion, where KULU SWIMHUNTER took the finishing position.

Inspired by the series of victories I traded some CTP and LISTNERDS tokens for a couple of Riftwatchers Gem's and one of them ended up with an epic gold STHISPA summoner!
