Share Your Battle Challenge:DIEMONSHARK | Don't Be The Prey Of This Fearsome Beast.

Hey there good people of Hive and Splinterlands,
First of all, I wish you a good day and a great weekend to those who have reached this post.

I want to share the joy I felt while claiming the Oshuur Constantia airdrop.
I was away from my laptop and playing battles on my mobile when this notification popped up that an airdrop is unlocked and checked if I got something or not.
As I purchased 50 Riftwatchers Gems I was sure that I will get at least one standard foil Oshuur Constantia from the airdrop.
But when I checked, I got stunned to see that I got not one, not two but three pieces of this legendary card. It was a fantastic feeling when some unexpected thing happened in a good way.

With the current price of $25, it's a whopping $75 gain in card value.

Moving forward, he Splinterlands team brought us another Share Your Battle Challenge and this week's featured monster is DIEMONSHARK.

Share your battle Diemonshark.png

Like the previous challenges, I'll share my strategy, and team combination of the best battle of the week using the Diemonshark in my team.
I'll also share my thoughts about the Diemonshark.

So, read on...

THE LORE

Diemonsharks travel alone throughout the stars searching for prey and territory. They are fearsome beasts with lightning-fast reflexes. Diemonsharks are extremely territorial and attack any creature that encroaches on their land. The Chaos Legion trains them as transports for equipment. Since they can travel by air, ground, or sea, they are ideally suited for the task.

“You heard him,”

Saldy said with a wave of his hand to Cooper, who stood at the wheel of the little trawler.

“Slow ahead.”

Saldy scooped a handful of chum out of the bucket and threw it into the water. Muttering, he repeated,

“Slow ahead,”

and cast a baleful glare at the ship's cabin, where the captain was.

“I can go slow ahead. Come on down and chum some of this mess.”

He turned back to the water. Beneath the waves, something dark and behemoth glided. It rose through the depths until it broke the surface. A Diemonshark. It was covered in armor-like plates colored in purples and blues and tans. It had four red eyes on each side of its head and a mouth crammed full of a wicked tangle of teeth. Saldy's own mouth dropped open, and he stepped backward as the creature continued to rise. Gods, it seemed to go on forever.

He kept walking backward, eyes wide, until he stumbled back into the ship's cabin, where the captain sat with his feet kicked up, smoking a cigar.

“You're gonna need a bigger boat,”

Saldy said.

BATTLE STATS AND ABILITIES OF THE DIEMONSHARK

Before I share my strategy and the battle, let's talk about the stats and abilities of this card.

Diemonshark stats.png

The Diemonshark is a rare water unit card from the Chaos Legion edition.
This melee attack card costs 8 mana to use in the battle which makes this card a high-mana-cost card.
Talking about the abilities, this monster has the 'trample' ability from level 1. With this ability, if this monster hits and kills its target, it will perform another attack on the next monster on the enemy team.
On level 4, this monster gains the 'enrage' ability. With this ability, it has increased melee attack and speed when damaged.
On level 7, the 'retaliate' ability is activated. With this ability, when hit with a melee attack, this monster has a chance of attacking its attacker.
The stats of this card also increases through levels, from 2 melee attacks, 4 speeds, 6 armor, and, 7 health in level 1, to 3 melee attacks, 4 speeds, 6 armor, and, 8 health in level 4.
At the highest level 8, the stats of this card are 4 melee attacks, 4 speeds, 6 armor, and, 10 health.

What Is The Best Ruleset And Summoner To Use Diemonshark ?

As the Diemonshark is a melee attack monster from the water splinter, therefore, it can be used in any battle except the battles with the 'keep your distance' ruleset and when the water splinter is inactive.

The stats of this high-man-cost card is great for almost any battle. It has a good amount of attack, armor, speed, health, and abilities that make it a perfect tank.

my preferred ways to use this monster are

In the weak magic and the lost magic ruleset

As it has a good amount of armor, this monster acts good as a tank in these two rulesets.
Using the Kelya Frendul as the summoner will further increase its armor and speed and using the Demented Shark will increase its melee attack further.
When this monster takes its first hit, the 'enrage' ability is applied, and its melee attack and speed increase further.
Due to this increased speed, some enemy monsters may miss their attacks on this monster.

In the unprotected ruleset

In the unprotected ruleset, no monster has any armor nor do they get any summoner buff. This is a perfect scenario to use Diemonshark.
Using the above-mentioned setup of Kelya Frendul and Demented Shark, this beast turned more dangerous after taking the first hit.
And it may kill an enemy monster or two with its single hit. The 'trample' ability comes deadly in this place. Due to the 'trample' ability, it immediately attacks the next monster, and if that monster with low or mid health, it may take it down next.

Alternatively, if the dragon splinter is active, then the Diemonshark can be used with the summoner Daria Dragonscale, which can increase its melee attack by +1.

THE BATTLE

Now, it's time to share my strategy and the lineup for the best battle I won using the Diemonshark in my team.

RULESET

Ruleset.png

Mana Cap: 99
Up Close & Personal: Only monsters with melee attacks may be used in battles.
Active Splinter: Water, Death, Dragon.

My Strategy and Team Setup

In this battle, there was only one ruleset, 'up close and personal', the perfect ruleset to use the Diemonshark.
I went with a full melee attack team using Kelya Frendul as the summoner and the following monsters -

SUMMONER

Kelya Frendul

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?

My strategy worked perfectly in this battle.
Kelya Frendul provides extra armor and increased speed to the team. Demented Shark provides an increased melee attack to my team while the Disintegrator decreased the melee attack of the enemy team.
Placing the Sea Monster in the last position was a good idea because it did thorns damage to the enemy's sneak monsters.
The Deeplurker did good with its 'opportunity' ability and poisoned two enemy monsters with its 'poison' ability.
Finally, the Diemonshark made some serious damage to the enemy team with its huge firepower and the 'trample' ability, and at the same time ducked a few attacks from the enemy team.
Due to this perfect team combo, I won the battle.
