Splinterlands Weekly Battle Challenge: Molten Ash Golem and its magmatic power!

Good day everyone! It has been 2 weeks since I posted my battle challenge. Sometimes we have to pause and recharge for new ideas to come. But it did not stop me from playing.

Without further ado, welcome to my Splinterlands Weekly Battle Challenge: Molten Ash Golem and its magmatic power!

Molten Ash.gif

Did you know? 💡Magma is a molten and semi-molten rock mixture found under the surface of the Earth. It is called lava on rare occasions when magma breaks the surface, as in a volcanic eruption.💡

MOLTEN ASH GOLEM

Molten Ash Golem is a rare fire unit under the Chaos Legion Pack. This card cost around $0.062 in level 1 and $3.40 in level six according to the market in Splinterlands.com.

The Molten Ash Golems are birthed from a creature known as the Forgotten One. Created by the High Magus of the Crypteia and serving as his personal servant, the Forgotten One is a fiery beast of might and malice.
The Forgotten One's great power sometimes spills over, leaving trails of molten ash in its wake. And within these beats the strong enchantments the Magus originally put on his Forgotten One. Within a day, these piles of burning ash become sentient.
Rising from the ground and forming into loose humanoid shapes, these Molten Ash Golems have only one desire. Find their creator. They will travel the lands searching for the Forgotten One, never tiring and never needing to stop. Once reunited with their source, they serve faithfully for as long as they continue to burn.

With an average mana of 6 you can make use of Molten Ash Golem's ability, close range, where he can perform ranged attacks from the first position. It has high health that can make him a good tank.

And as he move on to the next level, he offers a higher-ranged attack.

BATTLE RULES

This battle had only reverse speed as its rule and a 58 mana cap available, with only water and death being ruled out.

My summoner:

I used Tarsa as my summoner because this is the only fire summoner I have in level 2. I planned to use ranged attacks therefore the only advantage I have with this card is its increased health.

Card Line-up

CARDABILITYSTRATEGY
MAGNORMagnor_lv1.pngTAUNT - All enemy Monsters target this Monster (if they are able to).I am trying to prevent my enemy's sneak to attack my back ranged attackers.
MOLTEN ASH GOLEMMolten Ash Golem_lv1.pngCLOSE RANGE - Can perform ranged attacks from the first position. With his high health, I thought I could use him as a 2nd tank by the time Magnor will die.
TINDERLOCKTinderlock_lv1.pngLAST STAND - Gains increased stats if it's the only Monster on the team alive, Multiplier x1.5 rounded up. CLOSE RANGE - Can perform ranged attacks from the first position. He may have high mana, but his attack never fails. I could have put him in the last stand but his high health distracted me to put him on 3rd position.😬
LAVA LAUNCHERLava Launcher_lv1.pngCLOSE RANGE - Can perform ranged attacks from the first position.I chose Lava Launcher because of his 3 ranged attack same as Tinderlock. What's best was his shield at 6 and a health of 5, it would look like his life in total would be 11, the second highest since Magnor.
ETTIN SPEARMANEttin Spearman.pngPIERCING - If Melee or Ranged attack damage is in excess of the target's Armor, the remainder will damage the target's HealthI like piercing ability and this would greatly help the team to easily defeat the enemy.
GORGOYA DEVILGargoya Devil_lv1.pngFLYING - Has an increased chance of evading Melee or Ranged attacks from Monsters who do not have the Flying ability, +25% chance of evading. CLOSE RANGE - Can perform ranged attacks from the first position.Putting Gorgoya Devil at the last position increases the chances that if Magnor is already defeated, a sneak attack may happen and his flying ability may dodge it.

THE BATTLE

Molten ROUND 1.png

ROUND 1

My Magnor did not use much of his taunt ability, the enemy did not use any sneak or snipe ability but the scattershot of Chaos Dragon was not taunted. Anyhow, the round started with my Molten Ash attacking Djinn Chwala and easily repaired by Adelaide Brightwing. Good thing that even though I used high mana cards, their attacks were worth it to penetrate the enemy's tank even though he is healed by Venari Crystalsmith. Sadly the last attack by Magnor was a miss because of the reverse speed.

Molten ROUND 2.png

ROUND 2

It was really difficult to penetrate Djinn Chwala because of the healing and repair abilities of enemy's team. My Magnor was the first to be eliminated in this round followed by the defeat of Djinn Chwala. Now it is left with five versus five. Prismologist's blast ability makes it easier to infiltrate the next in position, decreasing its life.

ROUND 3

Molten ROUND 3.png

Thankfully I had close ranged attacks that even on the first position, they are very useful. Ettin Spearman is the one leading this round, he pushed through the repair of Adelaide Brightwing followed by the blow of Gorgoya Devil which ended Djinn Renova.

Molten ROUND 4.png

ROUND 4

Venari Crystalsmith and Molten Ash Golem simultaneously got defeated. I am so proud to have Molten Ash Golem and extended the team, then putting Tinderlock in the first position though I wasn't able to utilize his full ability because the last stand was not triggered, yet his final blow ended Adelaide Brightwing.

Molten ROUND 5.png

ROUND 5

Tinderlock is now in the first position and was still able to attack Prismologist who is in idle because she only has a blast ability. Leaving Chaos Dragon on the first position, he killed Tinderlock and he manages to make it through rounds 6 and 7.

Molten ROUND 6.png
Molten ROUND 7.png

Molten ROUND 8.png

This three rounds I was quite nervous because the magic attack can stab through the shield and easier for the enemy to defeat me, luckily with the close range strategies I have, I was still able to attack for the eight round.

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?

Yes, my strategy worked. If I put Molten Ash Golem on the near end position there is a great possibility that he could have been the hero of this battle, but I can still consider him as the hero by being the best second tank. In other way, I would like to use Conqueror Jacek with his pierce ability, it would not be that difficult and prolonged to 8 rounds.

Do you like MOLTEN ASH GOLEM? Why or why not?

Yes, I like it. His low level card is very useful. I did not have the hard time to win a battle with this card.
