Playing with New Gladiator Cards for Guild Brawls

Just a short post today highlighting some of the Gladiator cards I used in today's Guild Brawl. I am pleasantly surprised at how awesome they are and they basically carried me through the fray that I was in.

What are Guild Brawls?

If you're not in a guild, you may not know what Guild Brawls are. Brawls are a type of match that is exclusive to guilds. The system will match several guilds together to fight each other.

Guild members then choose a fray to enter against other guilds. Each fray has unique rulesets and a certain number of fights.

The rules for my Fray allowed Bronze League Level Caps, all types of cards playable, but ONLY Untamed Edition cards.

Gladiator Reward Cards

The best part of participating in frays is the rewards. You have rewarded merits for participating and winning a fray. The better your guild does, the more merits you can receive.

Once you receive 2000 merits you can buy a Gladius case which includes 5 Gladiator Cards.

Gladiator Cards

The cards you receive from a Gladius case are called Gladiator cards. These are special cards that can only be used in guild brawls. They also cannot be traded, rented, or sold to other players.

They do offer amazing abilities and also count towards your account power.

This Weeks Guild Brawl Matches

Needless to say, I was pretty scared going into an "untamed only" league. I literally own no untamed cards so needed to rent for the matches.

I ended up renting a full Yodin deck for the matches but only got to use Yodin in one of the 7 matches due to some crappy rule sets. BUT, the Gladiator Cards I already pulled me through on 3 of the matches! There's a ton of cards out there but today I just wanted to highlight the 3 that won these tough matches for me.

Chimney Wallstop

This guy is great at replacing Fineas Rage in the 2nd spot and helped me dispatch a tough Llama/Kron team.

While he costs a lot of mana, the combo of reach and bloodlust give this guy some serious killing power.

Sarius

Next up I had a really low mana battle and didn't have a tank to play for the match. Luckily Sarius made an amazing backline killer against this weak Life team.

Whistling Damon

This low mana ranged unit did surprisingly well in this match and I also took advantage of the "Close Range" rules to squeak out a victory against this blue team.

Get Yourself Some Gladiator Cards!

I am so glad I had these cards available for my frays! I was extremely worried I wouldn't have a good enough deck for the "untamed only" rules but my Gladiator cards got me 3 wins out of 4 matches this week.

If you're not in a guild yet, what are you waiting for?

Thanks for Reading!

If you made it this far I just wanted to say thanks for taking the time out of your day to read my post. I hope it was informative and helps you make better teams in Splinterlands!

Do you have any strategies you'd like to share? What are your favorite Gladiator Cards?
