Every week, @splinterlands posts a challenge for players to post about their battle, using a specific card or splinter. This week’s challenge, is to use Molten Ash Golem!!
Range monsters can attack from any position, and no legendary monsters are allowed!
Mana is capped at 44!

So, here was the team I put together:
Since, Molten Ash Golem is a fire monster, I elected to use a a dragon, Summoner, with the fire element as my ally. I picked, Drake of Arnak- a powerful Dragon Summoner! Drake is at level 3 and adds an armor stat to each friendly monster!!
The Drake of Arnak is a medium-sized Dragon hybrid. He is highly intelligent and extremely rich, but cannot fly nor breathe fire. All his life he has honed his skills as a summoner, hoping to win a share of the glory that should rightfully be his as a carrier of the fire blood. The Drake's trademark is that his monsters are summoned to battle with a thin force field of blue fire, fortifying their defenses. Forms have been filed by the High Council to formally request that the Drake of Arnak hand over his secrets for the good of the united Gloridax, but he will not give up his proprietary magic without a fight. The Drake of Arnak is the Gloridax rival of Daria Dragonscale; the two despise one another.
I was already feeling confident, but let’s get to my monster line-up!
In my tank position, I chose to go with Goblin Mech! Its stats make for a pretty good tank!! It has a phenomenal melee attack, with good health, speed, and armor! It has the Piercing ability too: If Melee or Ranged attack damage is in excess of the target's Armor, the remainder will damage the target's Health.
Fineas Rage followed. I love everything about this card. He's quick, has good health, and can pack a punch! Its reach ability, allows it to attack from the second position. What's not to love?
I then chose, TENYII STRIKER! I just love everything about this card. It is the relatively lower mana card, But it has some great stats. It's fast, packs, a punch, and has some pretty good health. It's snake ability allows it to attack from any position.
Molten Ash Golem was chosen to be in the fourth position. This card is slow and the attack sucks, but the heath stat is great! I mainly chose is because it is part of the challenge! Ash has the Close Range ability so it can perform attacks from the any position.
GOBLIN SHAMAN was selected for fifth position! I primarily chose this card for it to amazing abilities. The Weaken ability Reduces the Health of all enemy Monsters. The slow ability Reduces the Speed of all enemy Monsters. Awesome!!
RUNIC SKYCLAW, anchored the team. What an awesome card. It's one of my favorite gold foil cards I own. It has some awesome stats all around. It's snipe ability Targets enemy Monsters with Ranged, Magic, or no attack that are not in the first position. The flying ability gives this card an increased chance of evading Melee or Ranged attacks from Monsters who do not have the Flying ability.
My battle went 9 rounds, and it was damn close! It came down to one monster, but in the end I won!! I was very happy with the team I assembled, and was very pleased with my victory ✌🏽
