If you look at the humble Furious chicken, its quite expensive, at $0.54, this is quite expensive for a rare card, and some epic cards are even cheaper. So it must have lots of strategic value in the game, and so that's what I would like to talk about.
Why is the furious chicken so strategic?
the real reason is that it has 0 mana cost, this makes it very effective additional monster in low mana games. In high mana games it is obviously less useful, but lets have a look at some of the purposes for a furious chicken
At the back to draw the sneak attack
Its always good to have the Furious chicken protecting the last position against sneak attacks, which could give your last monster another round of attack before it is killed
Draw the opportunity attack
With only 1 health, the furious chicken can draw the opportunity attack because its the lowest health. care must be taken with this strategy, because if you have a serpentine spy, with also 1 health, you need to place the chicken before the serpentine spy, otherwise it will be killed first.
Draw the snipe attack
to draw the snipe attack, the furious chicken needs to be level 1 or level 2 because in level 3+ it has 1 melee attack. To use the chicken in this way, you need to place it in front of all the other ranged and magic monsters
Placed in the first position
Another strategy is to place this in the first position, this can work if your tank is slow, and you draw the attack of the faster monster and if strong enough you can wipe out their first monster.

I am a relatively inexperienced player in silver league, so I am sure there are some more advanced players out there that have used the furious chicken in other ways, any thoughts? feel free to comment useful furious chicken strategies.
