Chaos Agent the last Defender, Battle Weekly Challenge !

hello everyone who loves splinterlands, this week i want to make Battle Weekly Challenge about Chaos Agent, Monster from Chaos Legion Card Edition, with element Neutral. I'm using my scholar account which i get from Balthazar.

Inexplicably conjured from the Chaos plane before the rift was opened, Chaos Agents have been deployed for years in the Splinterlands to sow dissent and fear amongst the people. These infiltrators have an almost demonic appearance that is subtle enough to avoid detection and they keep their form concealed beneath dark cloaks and hoods. They never stay in one place for long, just enough time to whisper their words of rebellion and uncertainty amongst the people before slipping away without trace, leaving no evidence of their plans or existence for people to follow. As the time neared for the Chaos Gate to open, these spies intensified their efforts to include sabotage and assassination, resulting in the destruction of many prominent figures and buildings throughout the Splinters.


These agents of chaos don’t carry any weapons and weren’t intended as soldiers. Subtle words and targeted destruction are their gifts, and they employ them with precision, carefully choosing their victims to create the most confusion and misdirection possible in preparation for their master’s invasion. They enjoy the speed and agility of assassins, being able to dodge most attacks, usually leaving their attacker in a confused mess and wounded by their own weapons.

Skill :

  • Dodge (increases the chance to dodge melee and range attacks by 25%)
  • Phase (Magic can miss when attacking this monster, the probability of dodging is the same as the melee/range attack)
  • Backfire (when attacked and missed, the attacking monster will receive 2 damage)

Strengths :

  • Only cost 1 mana
  • Have good speed combined with dodge will have better change to avoid attack from Meele, range or magic type monster.

Weaknesses :

  • can't attack
  • HP is rather small only 4

Battle Preparation and Review

  • Equal Opportunity (all monsters can attack enemy monsters with the lowest HP from any position)
  • Equalizer (all monsters have the same amount of HP as the amount of HP owned by the monster with the largest HP)
  • Mana Cap : 14
  • Elements : Fire, Water, Earth, Life and Dragon

Why i Used It
General Sloan.png- Have skill all friendly range monster will get +1 range attack/damageAfter you see my card lineup you might be surprised, because there isn't a single monster range that I use, where you should use a range-type monster to get additional damage from general sloan (summoner).
The reason for not using other summoner life is because there is only this and Grandmaster Rathe in my scholar account, Grandmaster Rathe is not suitable for small mana because it cost 6 mana.
pelacor conjurer.png- Fly (increases the ability to dodge monsters attack with melee and range attacks)
- Magic reflect (when attacked by a magic type monster, will reflect the attack causing damage to the attacker)
I put it in first position as tanker, the reason i put it there because of high speed and with fly skill will ensure to have some miss when attacked and just in case the enemy uses attack-type magic Pelacor Conjurer can reflect magic too, combined with mana cost only 2, can adapt very well in low mana battle. I just use level 5 pelacor conjurer, because i only have this, the enemy using level 10.
Binding Reflector.png- Magic reflect (same skill like Pelacor Conjurer to reflect magic damage)
- Blind (gives a blind effect to all enemy monsters, so enemy monster attacks often miss (15% of evading) applies only to meele and range type monsters)
I put it in second position As 2nd tanker in case Pelacor Conjurer died.
Uraeus.png- Sneak (target the last monster on enemy team instead first monster
- Poison (Attacks have a chance (50%) to apply poison, which does automatic damage +2 to the target HP at the beginning of each round after the poison is applied
This is our main attacker, the damage is good enough for low mana, main reason i choose it because it have poison skill, can kill enemy faster. i put it in third position because i think it's safe enough from other monster attack, i want it to attack as much as possible before died so can inflict poison to many enemy
Soul Fiend.png- Swiftness (increases the speed of all friendly monsters by 1)Cause it only have 0 mana cost and i lack of 1 slot to fill, it has good skill too can make pelacor conjurer and chaos agent more difficult to hit, i put it in fourth position to protect Uraeus against sneak monster.
Gargoya Scrapper.png- Void (reduces damage from magic)Only cost 1 mana and have 2 damage, i put it fifth position to protect Uraeus and Soul Fiend from monster with sneak skill.
Chaos Agentb.png- Dodge

I put it in sixth position because he is the best monster for evading enemy attack in my team, protect every monster infront it against monster with sneak skill. and he can't attack so better to put it in last position as tanker for other monster that can attack

Enemy Summoner

Quix The Devious.png

Short explanation about enemy summoner Quick The Devious , it has skill :

  • All enemy range monster damage reduce by 1
  • All enemy monster speed reduce by 1

Round 1 :

Starting with a debuff Blind on the enemy monster, and a speed buff owned by both parties.
all of our monsters immediately attack the Naga Assassin which is the monster with the smallest HP on the enemy side

  • Uraeus inflicts poison on the Naga assassin
  • Pelacor Conjurer reflects magic attacks from Dax parallax

Round 2:

  • Naga Assassin died from poison in the first round
  • Dax Parallax is affected by Poison from Uraeus

Round 3:

  • This round Dax Parallax on the enemy side dies from taking damage from the poison effect at the start of the round

Round 4:

  • Uraeus dealt an attack to the Celestial Harpy leaving his HP 1 and giving a poison effect.

Round 5:

  • Celestial harpy died from poison in the first round
  • Vulguine received an attack from Uraeus and was poisoned, the Vulguine that was hit causes the enrage skill to activate and increases its damage and speed by 2.

In this round it looks like we will lose.. Enrage skill give enemy monster Vulguine damage and speed that are much greater than our remaining monsters, also their HP is already very large (11) because they have skills scavenger (every monster killed will give an additional HP 1 to vulture)
But do we really lose?


Round 6 :

  • Uraues is finally move to the front, so he can no longer attack the monsters in the back.

Round 7:

Conditions were looking increasingly unfavorable, only Gargoya Scrapper was left whose attack was not that big, and also the Chaos Agent who couldn't attack.


Round 8:

  • The enemy conjurer who survives from the start of the round ends up dying in this round.

Round 9:

Only Chaos Agents remain and it can't attack


Round 10:

In this round we starting to see the prowess of the Chaos agent, during the Vulguine Miss attack she received 2 damage from the Chaos agent due to the backfire skill from the Chaos Agent.


Round 11-14: (the number of round suddenly jump from 11 to 13 don't know why)

  • Vulguine who received 2 damage at the beginning of each round dies in this round because he received the effect of poison and also his attack on the Chaos Agent missed and Vulguine received +2 damage from the Chaos agent's backfire skill
  • Soul Fiend continuously attacks Chaos Agents who can always dodge, resulting in Soul Fiend being hit by +2 continuous counterattacks and dying in this round.

And the battle ended in victory for our side.

Strategy

This strategy works well because of Uraeus poison attack always hit the enemy monster, and Chaos agent Dodge work perfectly make many attack miss.


The reason i put my card in that position :

Because i am afraid that enemy using Obsidian summoner which have high damage magic, so i put monsters that reflect magic (Pelacor Conjurer and Binding Reflector) Uraeus as main damager I put Uraeus in the third place from the front which I think is the safest place from other monsters' attacks. Soul Fiend, Gargoya scrapper and Chaos Agent actually there as tanker backline only to protect uraeus. But in the end Chaos Agent which save us from lost.


What will you try differently next time?

If i have :

  • Summoner Lorna (have divine skill(first time attack by enemy damage will be ignored)) or
  • Summoner Mother Khala (all HP friendly monster +1) or
  • Summoner Ilthain (give speed and reflect range attack)

I may try using that summoner above to replaced General Sloan. I think best to use is Summoner Lorna because 3 mana cost and it's skill, but if don't have Lorna you can replace with other summoner.
