Uma das regras mais impactantes em nossas partidas de Splinterlands mas que também a menos falada é a Mana Cap. Essa regra define que tipo de estratégia você poderá utilizar e quais cartas se enquadrarão nessa estratégia de acordo com a mana disponível, e é muito importante saber utilizar a mana de forma correta para ter o melhor aproveitamento possível no seu time.
A mana pode ser entendida como o valor disponível para montar seu time. Cada carta possui um custo de mana e a soma de todas as cartas escolhidas (incluindo o invocador) não pode ser maior do que a mana cap da partida.
Essa mana disponível pode variar entre 12 e 99, havendo muitos valores intermediários nesse caminho e cada um permite que o jogador molde uma estratégia para utilizar da melhor forma possível essa mana.
O ideal é que você sempre utilize toda mana disponível, entretanto você não deve escolher cartas que não combinam com sua estratégia apenas para utilizar toda a mana! Parece contraditório, mas deixe-me explicar com um exemplo.
Imagine que você iniciou uma partida com mana cap de 50. Você já gastou 45 de mana e ainda falta escolher uma carta para o seu time, qual carta você escolheria?
Apesar da Radiate Brute parecer ser a melhor escolha pois utilizará toda a mana e por possuir estatísticas melhores do que o Venator Kinjo, se você estiver em uma partida com a regra Explosive Weaponry 
escolher o lendário poderá ser muito mais efetivo pois poderá ignorar muito dano com a habilidade Reflection Shield 
.
Mesmo "desperdiçando" 3 de mana o impacto dessa carta na sua partida será mais relevante por causa dos outros fatores gerados aleatoriamente na batalha. Agora vamos mudar um pouco a situação do exemplo.
Imagine uma partida com a regra Explosive Weaponry mas com a mana cap de 99. Você já gastou 64 de mana e ainda falta escolher uma carta para o seu time, qual carta você escolheria?
Apesar da habilidade do Venator Kinjo ser muito útil contra o Blast 
, escolher o Carnage Titan possibilitará que o jogador tenha muito mais poder defensivo (vida e armadura elevados) e um dano absurdo (ao causar 2 ataques o Titan aplicará o efeito do Blast duas vezes).
Nesse caso fazer o uso máximo da sua mana te possibilitará escolher cartas muito melhores e aumentará suas chances de vencer um oponente que não tenha utilizado bem a sua mana cap.
Nunca haverá uma única resposta certa sobre como você deve utilizar suas cartas e apesar do ideal ser sempre aproveitar o máximo da mana cap você não trocará um Doctor Blight lv.3 por uma Nerissa Tridawn lv.1 pois apesar de ter um menor custo ele é muito mais eficaz por ser uma carta lendária de level alto com muitas habilidades úteis.
Entendendo essas nuâncias você já estará apto à levar em conta o custo-benefício das suas escolhas ao decidir entre utilizar toda a mana disponível ou não utilizá-la em prol de escolher uma carta mais adequada à sua estratégia.
Essa partida é um ótimo exemplo sobre quais pontos devem ser considerados ao escolher uma carta que utilize bem (ou não) sua mana cap.
O adversário optou pelo Venator Kinjo para reduzir os efeitos da regra Explosive Weaponry , utilizando apenas 2 das 11 manas disponíveis. Ele realmente conseguiu reduzir boa parte do dano do Blast mas não ofereceu nenhum potencial ofensivo ao time. Agora vamos comparar com a minha escolha.
Eu optei pelo Corrupted Pegasus para aumentar a vida de todo o time com Strengthen 
, além de possuir Tank Heal 
, conseguir causar dano e ser resistente aos danos mágicos por ter recebido a habilidade Void 
da invocadora. A soma de todos esses fatores faz da minha escolha muito mais eficiente do que o Kinjo pois aproveita melhor a mana disponível para utilizar uma carta útil como suporte, defensivamente e ofensivamente.
O segredo para aprender a utilizar bem a mana cap é sempre estar disposto à analisar as melhores possibilidades de acordo com sua estratégia. Nem sempre escolher a carta com o maior custo de mana será a melhor opção, assim como escolher uma carta que pareça ser ótima na partida mas que desperdice muita mana também poderá não ser a escolha certa.
Você aprenderá com isso na prática mas aprender sobre essas nuâncias já te dará muita vantagem em relação aos oponentes que tentam apenas utilizar suas cartas com maior mana sem pensar muito nos detalhes, e como eu sempre digo, os detalhes fazem toda a diferença em Splinterlands!

One of the most impactful rules in our Splinterlands games, but also the least talked about is the Mana Cap. This rule defines what kind of strategy you can use and which cards will fit that strategy according to the available mana, and it is very important to know how to use mana correctly to have the best possible use in your team.
The mana can be understood as the value available to assemble your team. Each card has a mana cost and the sum of all chosen cards (including the summoner) cannot be greater than the game's mana cap.
This available mana can vary between 12 and 99, with many intermediate values in this path and each one allows the player to shape a strategy to use this mana in the best possible way.
Ideally, you always use up all available mana, however you shouldn't pick cards that don't match your strategy just to use up all the mana! Sounds contradictory, but let me explain with an example.
Imagine that you started a game with a mana cap of 50. You've already spent 45 mana and still need to choose a card for your team, which card would you choose?

Although Venator Kinjo's ability is very useful against Blast , choosing Carnage Titan will allow the player has much more defensive power (high health and armor) and absurd damage (when causing 2 attacks the Titan will apply the effect of Blast twice).
In this case, making maximum use of your mana will allow you to choose much better cards and increase your chances of beating an opponent who has not used his mana cap well.
There will never be a single right answer on how you should use your cards and although the ideal is always to make the most of the mana cap you will not trade a Doctor Blight lv.3 for a Nerissa Tridawn lv.1 because despite having a lower cost it is much more effective because it is a high level legendary card with many useful abilities.
By understanding these nuances, you will already be able to take into account the cost-effectiveness of your choices when deciding between using all available mana or not using it in order to choose a card that is more suitable for your strategy.
This game is a great example of what points should be considered when choosing a card that uses well (or not) your mana cap.
Opponent has opted for Venator Kinjo to reduce the effects of the Explosive Weaponry rule, using only 2 of the 11 available mana. It really managed to reduce a lot of the damage of Blast but didn't offer any offensive potential to the team. Now let's compare with my choice.
I opted for Corrupted Pegasus to increase the health of the whole team with Strengthen , in addition to having Tank Heal , able to deal damage and be resistant to magic damage due to having the ability Void of summoner. The sum of all these factors makes my choice much more efficient than Kinjo as it makes better use of the available mana to use a useful card as support, defensively and offensively.
The secret to learning how to use the mana cap well is to always be willing to analyze the best possibilities according to your strategy. Not always choosing the card with the highest mana cost will be the best option, as well as choosing a card that looks great in the game but wastes a lot of mana may not be the right choice either.
You will learn from this in practice but learning about these nuances will already give you a lot of advantage over opponents who just try to use their cards with higher mana without thinking too much about the details, and as I always say, the details make all the difference in Splinterlands!
