La neuroterapia es una terapia qué se utiliza de forma habitual para el tratamiento de enfermedades relacionadas al sistema respiratorio de diferentes grados, gracias a la neuroterapia se permite dividir un medicamento en microgotas y formar una nube de el mismo. Las gotas son lo suficientemente pequeñas como para poder ser arrastrada a través de una corriente de aire como en este caso lo es el transporte de oxígeno enviado a través de el ducto respiratorio.
La neuroterapia se utiliza con mayor frecuencia en aquellos pacientes que padecen afecciones respiratorias.
La neuroterapia tiene como objetivo el administrar medicamentos con un efecto local o general, permite humidificar el aire que está siendo enviado hacia los pulmones, a su vez también mejora la movilización y la salida de secreciones acumuladas en los campos pulmonares. podríamos decir que su objetivo general es el cuidado respiratorio a través de la administración de medicamentos transformados en pequeñas gotas, es decir gotas diseminadas.
Una nebulización se puede realizar con un equipo llamado nebulizador, existen diversos tipos de nebulizadores. indiferentemente del tipo de nebulizador que se está utilizando el equipo se encarga de convertir el medicamento en pequeñas gotas por medio de un chorro de oxígeno o de aire o a través de un generador de frecuencias de ultrasonido.
La neuroterapia permite administrar medicamentos como los broncodilatadores, los mucolíticos, los antibióticos y los corticoides.
Se indica una neuroterapia cuando se requiere administrar fármacos que están únicamente disponibles en una forma líquida para vía pulmonar, cuándo hay necesidad de administrar un fármaco en altas dosis por vía broncopulmonar, enfermos que no son capaces de utilizar por forma propia los sistemas ya existentes de inhalación debido a su incapacidad física o por estados psíquicos que afecten su condición motora, además como ya se ha mencionado anteriormente es la principal terapia utilizada en pacientes que requieren tratamiento con relación a las afecciones del sistema respiratorio.
Dicha terapia cuenta con ventajas cómo lo es el uso en niños menores o lactantes, debido a que se busca administrar el medicamento para eliminar la acumulación de secreciones en los campos pulmonares sin ser tan traumático al momento de atender a este grupo etario.
Cómo es un procedimiento que va directo en las vías respiratorias una de sus contraindicaciones son evitarlo en pacientes que presentan hemoptisis, debido a que se suele presentar la expulsión de sangre por la boca proveniente de las vías respiratorias y esto suele ser incómodo para el paciente.

As it is a procedure that goes directly into the airways, one of its contraindications is to avoid it in patients with hemoptysis, because blood is usually expelled through the mouth from the airways and this is usually uncomfortable for the patient.
