RE: Daily Hive Stats Report - Friday, September 3, 2021

Neither Splinterlands nor the increasing price have yet to draw many users into the core social media aspect of Hive, posting and commenting is not increasing substantially.

The silver lining to that is that existing Hive social media users can benefit from the increased value of the reward pool without having to share it with a wave of new users 😅

I expected the increasing rewards will drive new social media users in eventually though, especially when what is happening starts getting acknowledged with hype on other social media such as Twitter.

Rising price will likely do that. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to work the other way, which was the original plan, making the social app a bit of a boat anchor. Fortunately over the years we've plugged along and built out other value to the chain i.e. more breadth instead of one bet on a core social app, so it may not matter. #1 rule of survival is don't die.

Wait for the next berry (or whatever the name was that was naked on the shower promoting st**m).

:D

IMO the social needs Tokens for the communities to thrive.

The reward rats will come with the first millionaires pop up here :)

But do we need the rats?

They usualy come later

Its just a case of monkey see, monkey do. That is the only real marketing, it markets itself if your product has people using it and talking about it.
