3. Daily accounts transacting
A 'transacting account' is a Hive account that made at least one transaction on the Hive blockchain. This can be a vote, post, comment, transfer, power up or HBD conversion. Users who only read from the Hive blockchain without interacting are not included. The actual number of 'Active users' is therefore much higher than the accounts transacting.

Metrics are quite good except the constant net powerdown... this kinda suck to be honest.

Agreed. That must be contributing to the low HIVE price as people sell off.
The average number of comments per post (2-3) is also an exception. This means lack of interaction. The lack of real, human comments. Many posts contains 1-2 bot comments, but no real, human comments. Some posts does not even contains any comments. This leads to many disappointed users. Probably this is one of the reasons behind the constant power downs.
The numbers over a week are pretty random, but the trends since November are generally good. Too many people powering down though. There have to be good reasons to keep a stake.
I'm not voting on the post as it's doing okay and you self-voted. Have a !BEER
I disagree with "too many people powering down". People powering down during bull market is both rational for investors and desirable for the system. Early Steem bull runs where people powered up during the bull run (ie. the ones before January 2018) contributed to the unsustainability of the price.
Liquid token supply should expand in bull market and contract in bear market - that is desirable as a check on an overheating price, while allowing long term stakeholders to be the main benefactors.
We don't need everyone powered up. We only need enough people powered up to act as a defense against centralized control similar to Justin Sun on Steem.
Okay, but I think we need a good number and range of people maintaining their stake to distribute the rewards well. We have lost hundreds of orcas and dolphins in the last year or so. We also need minnows with a reasonable stake so they feel their votes have impact.
It's all a combination of factors and we have to find what works.
is also because of the long power down time. It needs to be more flexible, that's why I made a proposal for both option 1-week power up and 13 weeks. To combine amounts.
Like money, I don't want fast ( 13 weeks) and 1 week for money that's more likely I want to use.
I hope it becomes more attention, to discuss the topic a bit more
