I suspect SplinterLands has a lot to do with that. Even the most ardent Hive supporters make an exception for using Steem when it comes to SplinterLands

interesting to see people are powering up Steem again, but I think they have some sort of new reward system for powering up

At hardly any timepoint Steem powered up more than Hive did! This is impressive!
