Really interesting to monitor HBD in the next coming weeks.

I expect Haircut comes into place and panic. Would be better to stress test it today than tomorrow.

10x more MC could end up in a massive drama around HBD :P

What do you think? You are also a long time here and remembers for sure times SBD was for 0,6$.

I think the APR will make a difference compared to the past. Nobody holding HBD wants a haircut but once it happens (or is close), the 10% interest is still an incentive to hold that wasn't there before. Can't speak for anyone else but I just stashed some more into savings despite haircut being a real threat. I figure I'll likely hold it long enough to get out of haircut even if it does happen, plus the 10%/y. (Or maybe another pump and 5% or more bonus return.)

The problem I see, it has a disadvantage in the point of stability compared to other "stable coins".

  • Sure it is decentral.
  • Sure APR comes from the network and not from weird lending.
  • And the 10% are in the long run a really good play.

But it needs to become stable and scaleable.

Some demand thing (easy to build in) could be change creation fee from 3 Hive to 3 HBD or add it for additional use.

So if hive becomes 1$+ HBD caps the price for an wallet to 3$. Demand/ burns should become with higher prices also higher.

10$ Hive = HBD is the way.

And another (real) usecase for HBD + it would be also backed by Wallet creation.

IMO good deal, special if under 1$, discounts everywhere!!!!!!!!!! :)

Some demand thing (easy to build in) could be change creation fee from 3 Hive to 3 HBD or add it for additional use.

I think that's a good idea but I can't see it being a development priority. New fees like the DHF using HBD (10 HBD per proposal plus more for longer ones) is good and should continue.

Sure.

I think this alone could make HBD more stable on higher prices. With some more mini (onchain) use cases, it could become more and more stable.

I think as long HBD can have some " natural demand" it can become a currency (stable) itself.

I think some use cases (not onchain) can also come with RC pools for HBD. But that's something only time can tell :)

Would be interesting to see these data for HBD

Good report, thanks!!
