Prices of silver coins in the Netherlands and where are the kilo coins

Hi Stackers,

When I started stacking silver I bought 1 ounce coins for 20 EUR (many tubes of 20). These were Philharmonics. In 2016-2019 I often bought 1 ounce coins for 15-17 Euro each at the time when spot was low. These were Maples, Ahena Owls and surprisingly recatnagular dragons. All in 20 or 25 tubes.

So where are we now on the markets and whihc coin is chepaest?

As you can see thee are the usual coins and all are priced at spot + 5 EUR premium.

Let's look at some more

He an older Philharmonic is cheaper than a new one (delta 50 cent. Same is true for Maples (delta 1 EUR). As in the future all will have the same price it makes no sense to buy new coins. And...all maples will get milkspots anyway !

The panda is 30 gramm (instead of 31,1 ) and as you can see carries 5 EUR extra premium. The panda of 2000 is worth 200 EUR ! The panda is already a collectors items albeit that the mintage today is 6 million instead of 150000 in the past. The new ones will never get more premium...

And for our US friends (big is better) let's look at the bars!

Here it is one big disappointment because the coinbars (no vat) are not available at all and with bars (21% vat) there is just the 1 kilo and 5 kilo bar. The VAT on these is killing.
Also kilo coins are not available, not even the popular lunar, koala and kookaburra.

What is wrong ?

Sort:

The price goes down and the premiums go up, crazy especially for coins that are made in the millions.

Seems like price of silver coin in Netherlands seems to be cheap

Too many supplies will make the coins not rare. It is true with that with 6 million minted will not be premium
