The other representation of justice is a blindfold on Lady Justice's eyes. The symbolism is more for temporal matters as in the court justice system to indicate the fact that justice is blind, and that justice is delivered in an objective and an impartial manner. In the Christian faith, justice and mercy go hand in hand.

Very true... In the secular world blind justice is very much different than justice in the Christian faith. We seek Gods Forgiveness, sometimes we don't deserve it....
