As we begin yet another day,
Let not your attention stray.

The goal should be one of peace,
Sharing, our troubles to quiesce .

Such a goal is worth to pursue;
Letting this love be our glue.

So enjoy the day, carry quiet within.
Replacing where the noise had been.

These couplets may inspire, I hope.
Lest we fall out of our trees,
Lacking rope!

That was great! I'm new here, looking forward to reading your poems. :D

I thank you very much for this compliment @cryptopcitrus.
Sadly, I'm not writing nearly as often as I once did, and here, they very much frown on reblogging older posts, no matter that there are more new people than old members, new folks who will never have seen a post from say, 2018, or 19, and will certainly not go back to look for the gems.
But I hope that now I will have more time and inspiration to write more often

I thought this platform is decentralized. How come it's frowned upon to reblog older posts?

It's a complicated bunch of doo 💩 doo if you ask me. It goes something like this:
When you post something, for the first 7 days, anyone who upvotes your post, pays you. depending on the amount of their upvote.
Somehow, this involves the the reward pool

For the majority of users, all you really need to know about the reward pool is that it exists and that when you give or recieve upvotes on content, the monetary value is coming via a share of the rewards pool. The greater the amount of HIVE POWER there is behind the upvote, the more sizable the portion of rewards distributed from the total pool will be.

After that 7 days have past, anyone upvoting is wasting their vote.

So if I post something that I posted 3 yrs ago, I have already been paid for that content, to post again is considered "Double Dipping"

Reposting has always been a bit of a sticking point on Hive as it is dipping into the rewards pool more than once and many, many more times for some people - who farm by continually posting the same content, over and over again. The problem is that there are times that reposts are suitable (in my opinion) as there are times that something from the past is relevant to whatever is going on now, something that benefits users today - but I see this as a rare case scenario that most don't need to employ - yet, some do far too often.

I've been told that by simply changing the title a little, or using a different image or images, it becomes a new post.
But for me, when I write a poetic offering, I've either been inspired by a particular image, or I have searched long and hard to find Just The Right Creative Commons or original image.

I hope this helps understanding. It doesn't really help me much, and I am still and will probably remain bitter about it @cryptocitrus

Thanks @jerrytsuseer I really found this helpful! Are you on LBRY platform? Evergreen content can always earn years later.

No, I have heard of it, but I've not investigated. I have had accounds on Minds, OsPublish, MeWe, and more. I always lose interest, quickly, I think, because of how much I've poured into the blockchain, first in steemit and now the hive. It has soured my outlook
