Hello everyone! Recently, I developed a brand-new Hive data tool, and today I’m excited to officially share it with the community — Hive Top Holders 🎉

In the Hive ecosystem, many people often wonder:
- Who holds the most HIVE?
- Who holds the largest amount of HBD?
- Which accounts own the most Hive Power (HP)?
- How much liquid balance, savings, or delegated HP does a specific account have?
In the past, finding this information often required calling APIs, writing scripts, or switching between multiple tools.
Now, with Hive Top Holders, you can access all of this information in a much more intuitive and efficient way.
✨ Key Features

Quickly switch between rankings for:
- HIVE

Helping you better understand an account’s asset structure at a glance.

🛠 Technical Implementation & Special Thanks
The application fetches data directly from the frontend and primarily relies on the following APIs:
1️⃣ condenser_api.get_dynamic_global_properties
Used to fetch Hive’s current global dynamic properties, allowing the frontend to accurately convert:
VESTS → Hive Power (HP)
2️⃣ balance-api/top-holders

The core data source for the ranking page.
Supports:
- Asset type filtering
- Sorting
- Pagination queries
This is one of the most important APIs powering the app.
3️⃣ balance-api/accounts/{account}/balances

Used to fetch complete asset details for a specific account, including:
- Various balances
- Savings
- Rewards
- Delegation data
This powers the “Account Details” feature.
🙏 Special Thanks to the @blocktrades Team
Special thanks to the BlockTrades team for developing and maintaining the powerful balance-api plugin.
Because of these APIs, what used to be a complex process—querying and filtering global account balances, as well as fetching complete asset details for individual accounts—has become simple and efficient.
This not only significantly lowers the development barrier, but also greatly improves performance and user experience.

Your feedback will help make this tool even better! 🚀
Doesn't work well on mobile. Would be nice to track the percentage of the supply each holder holds.
The display issue on mobile devices has been fixed in Hive Top Holders v1.2.
On my phone, the numbers don't fit on the screen!
This issue has been fixed in Hive Top Holders v1.2.
Nice - looks fine on my laptop.
In case anybody is wondering, to check Hive Power, select VESTS as the ASSET, Liquid as the BALANCE TYPE, and a "Show as HP" toggle will appear.
Thank you for your feedback.
You're welcome! Thanks for providing update notes in your latest blog post.

Analytics tooling is chronically underbuilt across most blockchain ecosystems, and Hive is no exception -- so this fills a genuine gap. The top holders list is useful for understanding governance concentration: who actually controls stake-weighted decisions, and how that distribution has shifted over time.
A few things I'd find valuable as additions: holder movement velocity (not just current balance but accumulation/distribution rate over rolling 30-day windows), and a split between 'passive stake' vs. 'active VP usage.' A wallet with 5M HP that hasn't voted in six months has very different ecosystem impact than one actively curating -- the raw balance hides that.
Also curious whether you're pulling from direct RPC or indexer data. HP values can diverge meaningfully between sources depending on sync frequency, especially during delegation changes.
What's the current refresh rate on the holder data?
