Hello fans and friends of D.Buzz!

What do you think of when we say 60 GB of Ram along with 16 vCores Processors? If you are a diehard HIVE fan like us, you may think, "WOW, that would make a killer Witness Server", well, if you thought this, you would be correct!

We are so pumped up today to announce, we have rolled out a BEAST of a witness server to help stabilize and support the HIVE network.

The server is up and running + under the hood is pure power.

  • 60 GB of Ram
  • 16 vCores Processors

From what the boys over in our tech department tell us, this is perhaps one of the strongest witness servers on the HIVE blockchain (if there are stronger Witness servers, we'd love to know).

Adding to this, we dedicated a full-time developer to manage THE BEAST. Yes that's right, we dedicated a team member who has been empowered & hired to keep that baby humming like a 1970s muscle car.

We are 100% dedicated to making sure #HIVE grows and D.Buzz is online 24/7/365.

Acknowledgment and moving forward.

We wanted to acknowledge that we realize our previous witness server missed blocks. This was a serious issue we did not take lightly.

It is in our company culture to keep striving towards better results, and provide increasingly better service to our community. To address the issues that were apparent, we took action and decided to make the investment, got this new server and hired a full-time team member.

Moving forward, if anything does occur with our witness server, we have a team member manning it who can get it back up almost immediately.

We are also preparing to spin-up a backup server on a different data center and will install @therealwolf's witness checker tool on it to keep track of our Witness Server.

This is the witness checker tool :

Special Thank You To...

The team at D.Buzz wants to extend a special thanks to @rishi556. His assistance in getting this all set up and sorted cannot be understated.

A big shout out and thank you to @deathwing also for their support!! YOU ARE EPIC.

Lastly, a thank you too @therealwolf who is the creator of the Witness Watcher code. Please keep developing these tools!

All of these amazing humans helped us get our Witness finally online without hiccups.

In Other EPIC D.Buzz Updates.
But wait... there's more...

  • Coming out today on D.Buzz, Facebook video embeds in limited link formats, like the one found here: https://www.facebook.com/earthescapevids/videos/764858494045462/ will play in an embedded video player on our site.

  • We also fixed the bug where comments would show up under the incorrect Buzz's ( thank you @atma.love for reporting this ).

  • Version Checker for the Progressive Web App (PWA) added.
There was an issue where outdated PWA icons downloaded from D.Buzz would stop working, now we added a Version Checker for the Mobile PWA. Moving forward, this will update each time the Desktop & Mobile site updates (thank you @gabbynhice and @guruvaj for reporting this)

  • And speaking of version checkers, the Version Checker we use on all versions of D.Buzz was simplied in today's release.

  • The Simplified Version Upgrade Details.
There have been reports of the D.Buzz site not opening, or not opening fast enough, "hanging" for a while on load. This was due to the Version Checker taking time to load.

In order to make this loading faster, we added in a popup that will now prompt a user to upgrade to the latest version of D.Buzz. This is the same feature that @peakd has implemented and it works well. We hope this will address any future issues with load times.

As always, we are community driven and appreciate your feedback in bug reporting and feature suggestion. We hope you can see our dedication and commitment to improving and growing every day to make #HIVE and D.Buzz the hottest place on the Web 3.0.

  • What do you think of today's updates?
  • What are you most excited about?

Over and out.

- D.Buzz

More muscles to the dBuzz Team 💪💪💪👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Thanks for your continuous speedy efforts to improve #DBuzz

#bugreport (reported before, still same issue.
Latest and Trending buttons do nothing on @DBuzz v.3.9.0 Desktop in Brave tab and PWA, same
issue on both.
Now working on mobile (having deleted old shortcut and downloaded new one - version checker didnt seem to fix the issue until i did this)

Namaste

What do you mean by the:

  1. Latest
  2. Trending

Doing nothing? It's supposed to Go-to or refresh the page when you click on the buttons. It's working for me right now.

  • Can you take a video screenshare of what you are talking about?

Um, video screen-share, if i know how i guess.
Dude, are you seriously telling me you dont know what the latest and trending buttons are? Have you been smoking too much weed? :-)

Lol, I am wondering if you were smoking too much weed lol.

  • It turns out, you were using mini-versions of the Trending & Latest buttons.

And it's the mini-versions that were not working, that's why I got confused, since on all of my devices, it WAS working.

  • It's fixed now

It's fixed on next.d.buzz v3.11 ish, but not on d.buzz 3.9

I guess it's best if i stick to next version.

Using ecency for replying most of time now. Looking forward to notifications fix

Clicking on those buttons does nothing. However, i found a workaround, that is to right click and open in new tab or new PWA window @chrisrice

As I mentioned elsewhere, it was the mini-buttons that were not working.

  • I didn't notice it since I don't resize my Browser like you seem to.

When a browser is resized, the icons change . . and a fix for this has already been issued so it should work no on https://next.d.buzz

Right. Got it, working

Slick specs on that rig.. What else you going to put on it though?

Graphene is single threaded for the most part if I recall.. So HIVE executable will only ever use one of those 16 cores.. :P
