Hey Guys and Gals,
How did a hosiery businessman end up creating a new industry with lots of ups and downs? This Sunday's fun fact is about roller coasters!
Around the 1980s, a hosiery businessman by the name of "LaMarcus Thompson", was upset at the level of sin that people were committing in bars.
Angered by this he set out to change the world. First stop, Coney Island! He wanted to give New Yorkers some clean fun, in doing so, he invented the first roller coaster. This changed the nation and inspired many. From leggings to coasters, you never know where you might end up right?
