What's Buzzing Friends...
Do you know about Proposition BB from San Francisco? If you did we'd be very impressed. This proposition was specifically directed at a police officer and his partner. More so just his partner who was quite a dummy... quite actual and factually - literally a dummy.
San Francisco in 1993 was strange but fun place. A 53-year-old police officer called Bob Geary, (who consequently had for metals of valor and a master degree in art), in his own words said ... "I'm just trying to help make this place livable.". Would routinely take his partner, a wooden dummy called Brendan O'Smarty, on patrol with him.
This aspiring ventriloquist would walk the streets fighting crime with Brendan O'Smarty (the dummy). It seems the police chief did not quite appreciate the theatrics when he was upstaged at a local meeting one day. This all then went to the courts. After much to do, Proposition BB was passed and our friend Bob Geary and his partner Brendan O'Smarty were allowed to continue working the streets, together makeing it safer (???) .
