with some bumps on the road, we've finally reached Eclipse HF24 and beyond!
Besides another airdrop required and the un-expected "soft-fork", I'd say that this went over pretty smooth and I, for one, want to thank blocktrades, howo, mariusz, bartek, eric, andrzej, marcin, gtg, all witnesses and everyone else that was involved.
Hive Witness Essentials
I've pushed a new version for Hive Witness Essentials which is HF24 compatible. This also includes the dhive failover fix (v0.14.4).
Update instructions are simple:
cd hive-witness-essentials
git stash
git pull
yarn
I've also updated RPC nodes (copied from drakos pricefeed script) within the example.config.json, so if you want to use them:
# Choose a folder; in this case: cli
cd cli
nano configs/config.example.json
# copy it
nano configs/config.json
# paste it
For remote I've improved the security by deleting the password message, so it's not kept in your chat log. I'd recommend changing the password after updating.

It does, after a while. But not as we were used to, right after we vote. I see my older votes from today. Hopefully it will get better with time.
Was there an airdrop or you are referring a soft-fork as airdrop ? Any details around soft-fork ?
If this is pretty smooth, I'd hate to see what happens when it doesn't go smoothly! :) Either way glad to have this behind us and I'm sure the bugs will be worked out over the coming days. Going forward, hopefully this means we can now start focusing on growing and building this thing again.
Great work done by the developers and witnesses...
But there are still bugs I believe would be fixed soon..

I'm curious about HF25 though?
I hear buzz about it supposedly bringing the true fruits of reward to the Hive platform. Tools that would put this chain forth as a potential powerhouse in this somewhat make-believe world of Blockchain.
Might there be a roadmap for Hive?
One that could be speculated on and possibly treated as 'the next phase' of this chain to make this thing marketable by those wanting to partake in that endeavour.
I would also like to ask about SMTs..
But that feels like a dirty word. Severely Malignant Testicles!
Imagine for visual representation of the detachment from a "steemit tumour" that held back this community. Also for the fact I used that man's imagine in steem.chat long ago.
Anyway point is: well done for progress.

I note that you state another airdrop is required. I am one of the persons that never received the initial airdrop, and was on the list of people wrongfully not receiving the airdrop. I again did not receive anything. Is this airdrop you are mentioning the one for the persons that never received the initial airdrop?
