I re-installed POE2 recently as I heard it's been updated or there was an update coming or something - dunno, haven't kept up with it much. I also remembered however that I didn't really play it much, only 16 hours in total or so. The reason to that was cause I was stubborn about playing it in hardcore mode rather than going through the storyline once and checking out all the bosses - I kept restarting whenever I died.
Compared to other hardcore games, this wasn't even necessary, i.e. you can still play your character once it dies once in normal mode, meaning continue from where you left off. But stubborn as I may be, I didn't want that, so I kept restarting from the beginning which has kind of lead me to this point where I know the beginning part way too well but not so much later on.
I've tried quite a few classes since I re-installed the game, in this gameplay I'll be playing the sorceress.
I've went for quite a risky build, optimizing my damage output and not so much my defense as a sorceress, which would basically mostly be resistances and energy shield. My plan is to go a bit more defense in terms of talent points a bit later in the game, starting around act 2 which i've gotten to a few times but not past that.
Anyway, in this gameplay I try and go through things quite fast (since I've played them through over and over) while still making sure I don't die to some stupid and unncessary stuff.
There's also this new thing in the game, I forgot what it's called, but in every map there's an event where green-ish monsters spawn from a rift and you gotta kill them all to get extra loot. Some times there's some minibosses, some times some bigger bosses that hit quite hard and take a good amount of time to beat. Naturally I'd go for clearing all of these in hardcore as well.
Let's see how far I can go on this sorc!
No commentary in this video, wasn't really feeling it as it was gonna be quite a long one, maybe in the next one.
Quality is also a bit on the low side, my ssd is a bit on the full end (game itself is over 100gb), and storage isn't cheap anymore! :P
Forfeiting part of the rewards to the community account.
POE1 is the ARPG Goat. I think POE2 will get there at some point but it's lacking end game right now.
They are releasing the Druid class in a few days. A lot of people are excited for that. I'll be playing some to test that out.
The thing I love most about POE1 is that I have over 2k hrs into it and I still find things I didn't know. Every new league I play a different build and farm a different mechanic.
Kudos for playing HC though. I can't bring myself to do that... defense is so complicated in POE1 and 2 that it makes playing HC something that I can't ever see. You'll die out of nowhere and have no clue what killed you. If you're into Twitch streamers, watch Zizeran as he is probably the biggest HC POE streamer.
Another thing that makes it harder that I forgot to mention is that I'm playing at over 200 ms from where I'm from. :( Seems there's no servers closer than california for some reason.
Oh yeah. Its crazy to try HC with that ping! I suffer some because im in rural US and have satellite as my only option so even in the same state as the server im getting 50+ ping and lag spikes to 200+ playing low ping and high ping makes such a huge difference.
In my opinion, Hardcore is too hardcore 🤣
Hardcore can be a lot of fun though. I have always been more of a diablo player myself but do enjoy some PoE.
Also, nice seeing you give 40% of the rewards to HIVEGC 😊. I really like that community and enjoy a lot of their content.
Cheers!
I haven't played the sorceress yet. The new league is coming out on the 12th I think. those green rifts are a pain. I die so much in regular mode, I can't even imagine playing hardcore.
😅
I'd love to play this game, but I don't have a good PC yet. I'll be able to soon, though. But I love watching these kinds of games. I play some simple ones on my phone.
It looks like a pretty interesting game, I have to try it out and see how it is.
Greetings friend, I hope you're well. I don't know much about games, but in my country they say that a gamer and a musician is one less troublemaker, so keep playing a lot!
Playing of games boosts mental health I should think, I would have loved to be involved but there are many other things drawing one's attentions. Good luck to your game plays!!
