I would like to start saying that this game definitely has a bigger variety of costumes to choose from and even more craziness going on with 4 players, but the screenshots I'm providing here were from just a few days ago where I played it with a buddy at my own house, which is how I could get to get these. Gang Beasts is a terrific mix of finely-tuned and loosely-screwed components that make for a great party game: Punch and throw all your friends off the stage to win a round...but the characters will move sort of funny, you can grab to other things and even someone else (even if they are grabbing you too), and using the punches, kicks and headbutts are all done with buttons that also do something else if held (the punches turn into grabs if held, while kicks and headbutts held make you fall forward or backwards) and aren't the most reliable thing from what I experienced.
However, this kind of feeling reminscent of Sumotori Dreams (would be surprised if someone recognizes that one) is a perfect fit for a party game to get your buddies and have some chaos, as any attacks that knock-out the other player will play an audible punchy sound, letting you know that they are out for the count and can be grabbed without intervention...at least until they wake up, so don't fool around with them or else you might be the one being thrown into the sea!
There's a variety of levels, some of which are simple but functional, while others have some clear hazards you can throw your buddies into, and some few have stuff like jumping sharks and octopus tentacles trying to catch you; the variety definitely helps a lot with each round and the ways someone can unceremoniously bite the dust by accident. On the note of levels and grabbing, you can actually climb if you use the grabs and jumps properly, which can be used to great effect for climbing in that stage with a giant sign, along with getting up a ledge if you're in danger, be it on a train tracks or near a piece of wood or ice while swimming.
There's other modes like fighting in teams and battling against waves of different sized enemies, but the free for all battle mode is always worth playing with the kind of chaos that can ensue from your friends, despite how there's not actually much that happens randomly other than any funny occurences caused by the stages. In any case, if you can try this one with buddies, you won't regret it. And by the way, always bet on the penguin.

Gang Beasts es una estupenda mezcla de componentes bien afinados y poco ajustados que dan lugar a un gran juego de fiesta: Golpea y echa a todos tus amigos del escenario para ganar una ronda... pero los personajes se mueven de forma extraña, puedes agarrarte a otras cosas e incluso a otra persona (aunque te estén agarrando a ti también), y el uso de los puñetazos, patadas y cabezazos se hace con botones que también hacen otra cosa si se mantienen pulsados (los puñetazos se convierten en agarres si se mantienen pulsados, mientras que las patadas y los cabezazos pulsados te hacen caer hacia delante o hacia atrás) y no son lo más fiable por lo que he experimentado.
