Starcraft II Commander Dehaka

I remember that a long time ago I finished the second campaign of Starcraft 2 The Heart of the Swarm, and I was in awe of all that Kerrigan could do, the evolutionary level and the story of his sacrifice to save Raynor, and to be able to consummate his revenge. However, my favorite part of the story was always the chapter of the primal Zerg, unfortunately after spending the campaign I could not continue playing, and it was not until now that I could buy the commander and give myself that pleasure of being able to know a little more of them, and I wanted to share my experience here with the gaming community, I hope you like it.

Origin of the Primal Zerg.

They come from the planet Zerus, this is the original world of the Zerg, where they fought and evolved among themselves from the very beginning of their creation. They were born from a pool of engendering, they were able to assimilate and evolve through the consumption of essences. The XelNaga when seeing this species helped them to evolve and separated from them a group and gave them a collective mind with the creation of THE SUPERMENTE, it could be said that the Zerg were divided in two.
The Zerg that were gifted by a hive mind associated with the SUPERMENT, and the primal Zerg where they continued to evolve on the planet Zerus.

Comandante Dehaka

Dehaka is a primal Zerg, which is characterized by being a biped originating from Zerus, and although he was among the last pack leaders of the planet (before the arrival of Kerrigan), as a commander he is quite adaptable to various situations making him a difficult opponent to deal with.

It can be developed by consuming the essence of the enemy, making it evolve to levels difficult to imagine, making it a great threat to its enemies, while it evolves you can customize it the way you like in this way depending on the situation you are in can be of great support being very useful to meet the main and additional objectives of the map.

Dehaka is a commander who is characterized by being flexible, he can be of great help defending a base, transporting himself to any part of the map to provide support to his ally, he can even be a great threat to his enemies since the primal Zerg are characterized by being always in constant flux, causing their genes to mutate to be more aggressive in battle.

Gameplay

Upon reaching level 15 with the commander, several improvements and points are unlocked, which you can customize depending on what style of play you want in your game, one of the most notable improvements that this commander has is to be able to reach level 15 making it grow in size, strength and skills which you can choose depending on what you need in the game.

Personally I always start with two skills plus his passive ability:

  • Passive ability: Dehaka is capable of collecting essence while eliminating his enemies, in this way he gains level and can become stronger.

  • Devour: Dehaka can literally eat almost any unit to gain powers (depending on the unit you eat) and get lost life, it also helps to consume essence faster.

  • Jump: with this ability Dehaka can jump towards his enemies doing them a lot of damage, this is one of his abilities which can be improved as he levels up.
However, there are two abilities that make him quite a godzilla, the first:

  • Searing Breath: which deals damage to an entire line of enemies and can be cast three times in a row.
Deadly range: which makes it able to attack air units with only its claw.

Evolution

As I said before Dehaka is not the only one evolving, so does his pack. This can be achieved by making them evolve with each other. Each and every one of Dehaka's units can evolve, but there is none more lethal than the Tyranozor (even the name is dinosaur type hahahaha) this is created by making two primal ultralisks fight.

Not satisfied with making it evolve, it can also receive a series of mutations which among things raises the attack speed, gives you more life and the ability to drain it, but that would already depend on your level as a commander, since this probability improves as passes level 15 that is your mastery.

Allies

We know that from the events in the second expansion of Starcraft 2 Dehaka joined Kerrigan, however Dehaka as commander and pack leader has subordinates which are:
image.png

Glevig

It is a primal Zerg, which can be summoned by Dehaka once his lair is made, with the deep tunnel ability it can be moved to any part of the map, in this way it can be used as a good defense, or provide support in an attack, it has the ability to breath fire which bounces fire in a straight line doing serious damage to enemy units and structures.

image.png

Murvar

This Zerg is capable of spawning locusts which serve as support for its attack, capable of attacking ground and air units, it is not my favorite but it is very good at providing support (I use it mostly in defenses).

image.png

Dakrún

This primal Zerg is quite a tank due to its strong armor, its defensive ability, it is good to use it when entering combat because it is capable of resisting a large amount of damage and not satisfied with that, it can attack its enemies, thus repelling with a great attack of area.

If you have already played Starcraft and want to buy a commander, I recommend Dehaka, because he is one of the commanders that I consider the easiest and strongest in the game, it is evolutionary in Pokémon style because it requires essence to be stronger and easier to use a Sometimes you get used to ordering your priorities within this role. From the games that I have been able to play, I realized that it is adaptable with any commander, I will continue to upload more things about this commander such as his prestige and ways of placing mastery points, as well as his achievements. I hope you like the post.
