Sucker Punch Productions is an American video game developer that lately it has been everywhere thanks to its latest game developed by them this year, Ghost of Tsushima, which is being a resounding success for users and press in the world of video games, including some saying that there is a possibility that GOTY will be taken by Ghost of Tsushima. Today I would like to talk about a franchise that has been forgotten and remains exclusive to Play Station: Infamous.

Infamous is a video game franchise developed by the aforementioned Sucker Punch Productions. Without trying to be very ambitious or anything like that, Infamous, speaking of the first, is a very entertaining video game that will allow us to explore at our whim a city quarantined in this kind of open world video game with touches of action and adventure. A world in which we will have to engineer them to survive, with a little help from our allies.

The game follows the story of Cole MacGrath, a bicycle messenger with superhuman powers after an explosion that destroyed several blocks of the city and killed thousands of lives. After the explosion, the government quarantined the city, prompting organized crime groups within the city to seize control of Empire City from local authorities.

Now living in a world of crime and violence, Cole takes steps to survive while utilizing his new powers, at the same time trying to learn more about how and why he has powers.

As mentioned before, Infamous is an open world video game, so we will explore the quarantined city while solving secondary or main missions that will help us understand the background of the game a little more. By performing secondary missions we can free it from the influence of criminals, so it is recommended to do so, of course, if you like, it is not mandatory.

Exploring the city is quite fun despite the fact that it is a bit out of date game, since the player will be able to choose if they want to move normally by walking or through parkour, also, we will be able to move more quickly, climbing skyscrapers and so on. Parkour in Infamous is well implemented and is a lot of fun to run, as well as intuitive, you just have to press the X button to do it.

Something interesting about all Infamous in itself is that our adventure and relationship with other characters will be based on a system of karma, for each good action we do, our reputation as a good Samaritan will increase, while if we do bad actions and disasters around the city, Like hitting or killing innocent civilians, our reputation as a bad person will increase. Being a good or bad person will unlock skills that can be useful to us, this is up to the player in question, but it is recommended to do a little of everything to get more skills.

The powers in Infamous are divided into our good or bad karma, there is an interesting variety of powers that we can gradually acquire in the game. I know I said that it is good to have a little of everything, but it is also good to keep in mind that it depends on which karma is at the maximum, so you have to be careful.

Infamous is not a masterpiece or anything like that, but it is a very fun game, from a fairly well-known developer, so I think it would be right to take a look at the game. Infamous is an exclusive to Play Station 3, so if you want to play it you will have to get one, it would be very interesting to see a new Infamous for the new videogames generation.
