I love the graphic style, but I've tried a few games like this and they have left me feeling a bit disappointed. Probably the games aren't for me or I just haven't found the right one yet.

Probably the games aren't for you. But what made you feeling bit disappointed with games like that? is it lack of challenges or monotonous or something else ?
