Painting Condition Rings for Our Dnd Tabletop Game

Painting Condition Rings for Our Dnd Tabletop Game

Hi everyone!
I wanted to share with you the condition rings I painted for the tabletop game Dungeons and Dragons.
As you know, there are conditions in many games, such as being poisoned, stunned, charmed, paralyzed, petrified, becoming invisible, etc.
This process took longer than I expected, it really took layers and layers of paint. Since the workspace was also small, I applied 2 coats of paint on each side to cover the black, even though it was only one color.

All photos belong to me.

Before painting, we have to apply a black coat with spray paint to the condition rings printed from the 3D printer. Because it is much more difficult for resin to hold paint.

I chose to dry it with a hair dryer so that the paint would dry faster and hold faster, which also saved me a lot of time.

What are these Conditions? Let's Talk A Little About Them Now.

Of course, these are not all the bad stuff that can happen to your character, or can be inflicted by your caracter available in Dungeons and Dragons, but I don't need anymore in the game we're playing now. If you want to look at them all and find out what are they;

This link will take you to the official Basic Rules Book on the dndbeyond page.

Poisoned

If your character is poisoned, when you try to hit someone and when you try to use an ability, your chances of success are reduced due to this poisoning effect and you roll your dice with a disadvantage.

Restrained

If your character is restrained, You can't use your speed and someone can attack you more easily. So basically your hands are tied. It becomes harder for you to attack. You also have problems with dexterity dice rolls.

Paralyzed

Being paralyzed is one of the worst things that can happen to your character. If you get into this state, every attack that hits you does much more damage.

Charmed

Even if it doesn't happen to the characters a lot, A charmed creature cannot attack the charmer or use damaging abilities or magical influence on the charmer. Each and every ability check to socialize with the creature benefits the charmer.

Frightened

Just like in real life we want to run away from our fears, but the creature is unable to move toward the source of its sheer terror. And not only that, if you see the source of your fear, you are at a disadvantage in everything you want to do. Like seeing the boss at work.

Petrified

How much fun can it be to turn to stone? At this point, there's nothing you can do except have your other teammates take your character to a healer.

Final Thoughts

I can't share the full stats with you to avoid plagiarism, but if you are interested in Dnd or thinking about it, Basic Rules is free. You can take a look here. You can also watch many Dnd channels on youtube. Let's see, maybe in the future, we will open a channel with my group, who knows? There is still time ahead of us.

Thank you so much for reading!
