Uno de mis hobbies favoritos es manejar vehiculos. Lo disfruto muchísimo y hasta me sirve para despejar la mente y obtener un estado de relajación muy especial. En estos tiempos en los cuales la pandemia del virus covid-19 ha mutado, y ha hecho su aparición una nueva variante del virus con características aún más abrasivas y letales, se me ha hecho cuesta arriba hacer los frecuentes viajes que realizaba en mi pequeño carro, a los cuales estaba muy acostumbrado. De allí que escribir acerca del vídeojuego CARMAGEDDON me resulta una tarea muy grata y amena, más allá de que estoy consciente del grado de violencia que caracteriza este juego.
Sin embargo, este video juego cuya historia básicamente se sitúa en un combate vehicular, donde el jugador tendrá que destruir literalmente los autos de los demás contendores para poder lograr el éxito y alzarse con la victoria, logro salir airoso de muchas de sus peleas, y consolidarse como un juego de combate con su nombre propio CARMAGEDDON , a pesar de que cuando lo observamos cuidadosamente nuestra mentes nos transportan rápidamente a la película Death Race de Paul Bartel, pero más cercano al año 2000 a la célebre cinta Mad Max. Por su puesto, de esas veneradas películas es de donde nace y crece la idea hecha videojuego que podemos disfrutar hoy en día. Carmageddon es un juego de palabras que hace referencia a Armagedon: termino bíblico que podemos leer en el libro de apocalipsis capítulo 16 versículo también 16. El termino aunque es de origen cristiano muchas denominaciones religiosas y diversas culturas lo utilizan para referirse al fin de los tiempos o al fin del mundo através de cataclismos o grandes catástrofes.
La alta calidad de los gráficos del videojuego CARMAGEDDON se logra ver impresa en todos los múltiples escenarios y en la gama de vehículos con características propias diseñadas para este tipo de luchas vehiculares. Desde el principio el jugador se desplazará por pistas, espacios cerrados, acantilados y espacios acuáticos. Además contará con un realismo muy acertado en la destrucción de las partes de los vehículos, autos en llamas, y un sinfín de contrastes de colores. Se puede notar desde el principio el gran esfuerzo que han hecho los desarrolladores para entregar un resultado final de excelencia.

Podremos reparar nuestros vehículos averiados o con un grado de destrucción avanzado através de créditos que se van acumulando a lo largo de nuestra carrera. Tendremos a nuestra disposición controles sensibles que nos ayudarán a ir ganando destrezas e ir ganando competencias para lograr posicionarnos en un buen puesto en el ranking, abriéndose la posibilidad de tener una clara oportunidad de crecer y participar en carreras de mayor prestigio. Rápidamente tendremos el control de la velocidad, del frenado y retroceder oportuno para esquivar a nuestros contendores y buscar el momento oportuno para descargar sobre ellos nuestro poder destructor.
