Playing Portal 2 - The surprise and my attempt to escape from GLaDOS
.

Again we are playing Portal 2 and I must say that this is one of the strangest sequels I've played, it is not bad at all rather retains the same brilliance of the first game in each of its puzzles but the tone in this installment quite marked by the comedy that occurs in each of the new levels as well as a deepening in the history and lore of the franchise, giving us to understand little new information about the artificial intelligence of GLaDOS as well as the surroundings of Aperture Science, this is also the installment where they introduce Wheatley who at first may seem a nuisance away from the main spheres of the story but soon becomes a relevant and annoying character at the same time in the plot.

In the previous gameplay we were left with the awakening of GLaDOS as well as the introduction of new game mechanics to the cameras, the jump pads, the lasers and more recently the light beams have made the following cameras a challenge, either because internalizing new concepts is a bit difficult for me or because these cameras have been perhaps the most difficult of the whole game, I already explained the process in which Portal introduces its mechanics and then works together with all the elements previously shown to challenge the player in much more complex tests, here something similar happens, we introduce a concept like lasers in a camera, with a simple test and then progressively increase the difficulty in the following cameras.

The deflecting cubes also play an important role in each of these tests, allowing us to deflect the lasers and together with the portals devise new ways to direct them to their goal, I have found in some extremely complicated chambers mechanisms in which I had to use portals in combination with cubes and my friends the light beams to activate a mechanism on the stage and pass the test, Although I have taken in many cases the most complicated way I think that makes it a little more fun, in one of the cameras I was several hours stuck trying to decipher a combination of light beams with lasers and deflector cubes, in the end the solution was simple but I chose to make it much more complicated, sometimes I feel that these tests have several solutions to make the game look much more flexible to the player's ideas, a plus point of this sequel compared to the first game.

Getting through several of the cameras I noticed that the commentary that GLaDOS makes at the beginning and end of them is becoming much more sarcastic, more than usual, I know she must be a little upset about the fact that we killed her but instead of taking revenge she is making us go through all these tests in the name of science with some hurtful comments in the background, there is one in particular that made me chuckle and that is that our work clothes (what we wear) look horrible on us according to the report of a fashion analyst who graduated from a fashion university in Paris, the way GLaDOS says it in conjunction with the fact that, you know, she is an AI is extremely funny to me although there have been several comments that have brought a smile to my face even though they are aimed at hurting us.

Passing several of these cameras we are reintroduced to the turrets that were one of my favorite parts of the first game either by his personality or by the extra challenge that meant these little ones in the scenario, now if it would come the good thing because the game would do what it always does, combine several of the mechanics that we already know in a level to make us think a lot, so I think the most complicated level was the one that combined both the beams of light, with lasers and turrets, I was a good time scratching my head to solve it just to go headlong into the next chapter.

In the next chamber we meet Wheatey again who I thought was more than dead after our last visit to GLaDOS, it turns out that he survived and turned off this last test so that we could escape using one of the many secret passages that the Aperture Science facility has, now comes the counterattack as Wheatley has a plan to face GLaDOS again which I love as we get out of the typical tests again and test what we know in unknown environments, it will also be an opportune moment to know a little more about the lore of Portal and how all this mess happened in the first place, but I'll have to tell you about that in another post! ! see you and thanks for stopping by for this installment.

Wheatley is a cool character but the turrets are my favorite characters in the game aside from Glados.
