I hope you're having a great weekend, Hive friends! Today, as usual, I'm bringing you a new game for the Epic Games Store, completely free. You just need to have an account and go to the game's page before the deadline to claim it and be able to play it.
This time it's something more indie, something outside of the mainstream market, one that I didn't know about, but its style seems more than interesting to me. Universe for Sale is free on the Epic Games Store, and it's time for us to get another free game of the week.
A hand-drawn narrative game that's free for a limited time and, honestly, it's one of those little gems that you might not buy on your own, but when it's given to you for free, you just shut up and accept it with open arms. You might end up liking it, or at least I feel that these kinds of slow-paced games are very much my style at this point in my life where I have little time.
Universe for Sale is an indie game with an art style that looks like it came straight out of the notebook of an illustrator obsessed with mixing retro science fiction with a graphic novel vibe. Everything takes place in a kind of space station floating among Jupiter's clouds, a cosmic marketplace where all sorts of bizarre characters coexist, from guys who look like spiritual con artists to orangutans who work loading boxes, because, of course,
why not? There you meet Lila, a girl who can literally create entire universes with her hands, as if it were cosmic modeling clay. That alone gives you an idea that this isn't about shootouts, loot, or explosions, but rather a calmer, more contemplative vibe, about reading, listening, making small decisions, and letting yourself be carried away.
The game basically invites you to walk through this space bazaar and chat with all kinds of eccentric characters. Each one has their dramas, their strange beliefs, their obsessions. It seems somewhat surreal because it is, but in a good way,
like those games where the conversations have a philosophical touch mixed with quirky humor, and where you don't know if what they're telling you is a metaphor or if they're simply crazy. Visually it's super appealing, all hand-drawn, lots of fine lines, somewhat faded colors, an aesthetic that gives you a sense of nostalgia for something you never experienced but still feels familiar. ---
This isn't a game for everyone, mind you. If you're the type who wants instant action, "bang bang, shoot 'em up," I think you should just claim it because it's FREE. Everything here is slow-paced, intentionally so. It's like sitting in a cafe, ordering a strange tea from another planet, and listening to stories while space rain falls outside. If you like storytelling and games that are more for relaxing and thinking for a while, well, here it is.

Espero que esten pasando un buen fin de semana amigos de hive, hoy como es costumbre voy a estar trayendoles un nuevo juego para epic store de forma totalmente gratis, solo tienen que tener una cuenta e ir a la pagina del juego antes de la fecha limite para reclamarlo y poder jugarlo
Esta vez se viene algo mas indie, algo mas fuera de toda esa cosmovision del mercado, uno que yo no conocia pero su estilo se me hace mas que interesante, Universe for sale está gratis en la tienda de epic y es momento de nosotros para tener otro juego gratis de la semana
Un juego narrativo dibujado a mano que llega gratis por tiempo limitado y que, honestamente, es una de esas joyitas que quizás no comprarías por tu cuenta, pero cuando te la regalan solo te callas y lo recibes con los brazos abiertos. quiza puede que te termine gustando o al menos a mi siento que este tipo de juegos pausados son muy de mi estilo en este momento de mi vida en donde tengo poco tiempo
Universe for Sale es un indie con un estilo artístico que parece salido del cuaderno de un ilustrador obsesionado con mezclar ciencia ficción retro con vibra de novela gráfica. Todo pasa en una especie de estación espacial flotando entre las nubes de Júpiter, un mercado cósmico donde conviven personajes rarísimos, desde tipos que parecen estafadores espirituales hasta orangutanes que trabajan cargando cajas, porque claro,
¿por qué no? Ahí conoces a Lila, una chica que puede literalmente crear universos completos con sus manos, así como si fuese plastilina cósmica. Ya con eso te das una idea de que la cosa no va por el lado de balazos, loot o explosiones, sino por una vibra más tranquila y contemplativa, de leer, escuchar, decidir cositas y dejarte llevar.
El juego básicamente te invita a caminar por este bazar espacial y charlar con todo tipo de personajes excéntricos. Cada uno tiene sus dramas, sus creencias raras, sus obsesiones. Parece medio surrealista porque lo es, pero en el buen sentido
de esos juegos donde las conversaciones tienen un toque filosófico mezclado con humor raro, y donde no sabes si lo que te están diciendo es una metáfora o simplemente están locos. Visualmente es súper atractivo, todo dibujado a mano, mucho trazo fino, colores medio gastados, una estética que te da como nostalgia de algo que nunca viviste pero te suena familiar igual.
No es un juego para todo el mundo, ojo. Si tú eres de los que quiere acción ya, “pum pum, bang bang”, creo que solo te queda reclamarlo porque es GRATIS. Aquí todo es lento, a propósito. Es como sentarte en un café, pedir un té extraño de otro planeta y ponerte a escuchar historias mientras afuera cae lluvia espacial. Si te gusta el storytelling y los juegos que son más para relajarte y pensar un rato, bueno aqui se los traigo
