A new feature update was pushed recently which brought about some changes to the gameplay which we would like to address here.
1. Changes to Farming
This is a big one. Previously, if you missed your deadline to harvest, you could just wait for the season to arrive again in order to harvest the crop. While this meant that the plot in question would be unused for 3 seasons out of 4, it seemed like a balanced approach. With the introduction of multi-season seeds, however, you now only need to wait for 2 seasons instead of one.
This "feature" has now been removed. Any crops older than 30 days i.e, 2 seasons will now expire regardless of whether it is their season or not.
2. Changes to Quests and Mystery Seed
From this point forward, the BETA edition has now been added to quests. Your planting, harvesting and selling quests will now require you to have BETA edition seeds in addition to ALPHA edition. The chance to get a BETA or ALPHA quest is totally random.
With a similar change, mystery seeds now have a chance to turn into BETA seeds upon planting. The likelihood for a mystery seed to be a BETA or ALPHA seed is also totally random just like the quests.
3. Changes to the Halloween Event
It is now day 6 of the Halloween event and after some consideration, some changes seem more than necessary.
a) Planting a seed will now give you anywhere from 1 candy to 5 candies as opposed to a maximum of 10 candies. This is due to the fact that seasons in dCrops last for 15 days but cooldowns of seeds only last for 14 days which essentially meant that you could plant a seed twice in the same season and get additional candies which was an oversight.
b) Changes have been made to the exchange rates of items that are exchanged for candies in the event shop which is soon to be opened:

The reasoning behind these changes is that the previously set rates were too cheap. Moreover, with the previous setting, one could essentially buy a mystery seed for 7 candies, plant it for a potential 30+ candies and just repeat the process for infinite candies.
This was not the intended use for these items to be offered in exchange for the event currency. These changes have now also been updated in the event announcement post.
This is the first event of its kind to be held on dCrops and some adjustments were bound to be made. Please note that the new numbers are also subject to change if deemed fit.
