As many may know, getting into gaming and computers can be an expensive feat. With the recent developments of broadband internet and how fast they're getting now, most companies are starting to invest in Cloud Gaming or in other words GaaS (Gaming as a Service) where rather than selling parts for your computer every now and then for high prices, they're starting to offer the computer you now. Basically, rather than purchasing CPU, GPU, RAM etc. You are purchasing a computer that's on the cloud, prepared for you, anytime, anywhere you want to play some games.

I've been testing GeForce NOW now that I am at home most of my time due to obvious reasons.

The UI and the settings are pretty simple. You'll probably see this screen as soon as you log in to the service. I must mention that while it is a paid service ($4.99/month) you can play for free for up to one hour at a time (i.e. per session) if there are enough servers available at that time.

Getting into a game is as simple as 1-2-3. Find the game you want to play using the search box and click Play. That's it! NVIDIA handles everything for you. All you have to do is log in to the platform the game is on (Steam, Epic Games, Origin etc.) and you can play as usual. For free tier, I found out the games mostly run in Medium settings, 1920x1080 (Full HD) while for paid tier most games I played were in Ultra, 60 FPS, Full HD. If you have over 50 Mbps internet connection (and close to the servers) you should have a buttery smooth experience with almost no delays.

Out of 10 including in the price of this service... My rating would be 9. The main reason for this is the library of GeForce NOW. Unfortunately, game development companies such as EA, Bethesda and Activision-Blizzard has removed their games from GeForce NOW, for the time being, I am hoping that NVIDIA can come into an agreement with the devs and re-add their games.

Feel free to ask any questions you have about cloud streaming platforms or GeForce NOW in the comments.

I used to use it to play games on my mac in the past. Works really well as long as you have good internet.
