This time I wanted to share a game that besides being extremely entertaining and gives you a nostalgia of retro movies and fighting games, I when I played this game I could only remember the first Rocky balboa movie and how hard it was to beat the Street Fighter games, as it is the same theme of pixel fights, which also brings back memories of Nintendo consoles or PS1.

En esta ocasión quería compartir un juego que además de ser sumamente entretenido y te da una nostalgia de las películas y juegos de lucha retro, yo cuando jugué este juego solo podía acordarme de la primera película de Rocky balboa y lo difícil que fue vencer los juegos de Street Fighter, ya que es la misma temática de luchas en pixeles, que trae también recuerdos de las consolas de Nintendo o la PS1.

In Prize Fighters your main mission is to get to the top by achieving victory in confrontations with the strongest and toughest opponents in the world and it is also set in the 80's since the list of opponents includes boxers from the dissolved USSR.
En Prize Fighters tu principal misión es llegar a la cima por medio de lograr la victoria en enfrentamientos con los más fuertes y duros contrincantes del mundo y que también está ambientado en los 80's ya que en la lista de oponentes hay boxeadores de la disuelta URSS.
The game is not that complicated, when you open it you have 3 game modes / El juego no es tan complicado, cuando lo abres tienes 3 modos de juego:
- Career mode: In this mode you have to beat a list of opponents from all over the world, like Cool Randal from Guatemala, Marvelous Carlos from USSR or Jim Dynamite from Croatia. Playing this mode I felt like Rocky, as the opponents are twice your size and their punches knock you out easily, but when you put them on the ropes it's easy to win. This career mode is an easy world qualifier, and you have to beat 30 opponents to be crowned the world champion, the fight for the top is not easy at all, as each opponent is harder to beat, because he has more strength, stamina or fighting style that makes him superior.
- Modo carrera: En este modo tienes que vencer a una lista de oponentes de todo el mundo, como Cool Randal de guatemala, Marvelous Carlos de la URRS o Jim Dynamite de Croacia. Jugando este modo me senti como Rocky, ya que los contrincantes te doblan el tamaño y sus golpes te noquean fácilmente, pero cuando los pones contra las cuerdas es fácil ganar. Este modo carrera es fácil clasificatorio mundial, y tienes que vencer a 30 oponentes para coronarte como el campeón mundial, la lucha por la cima no es nada fácil, ya que cada oponente es más difícil de vencer, porque tiene más fuerza, resistencia o estilo de pela que lo hace superior.
- Arcade mode: you have other ways to fight, since in arcade you can play friendly, practice and endless matches, this mode is like a training to improve your ability in the ring, either to improve the combos of blows or the skill to dodge the blows or combos of the opponent.

Cuando tumbas a tu rival tienes que esperar para ver si se levanta y continua la pelea, es muy común que se levante luego de 2 veces que lo hayas tumbado, pero ya para un tercero ganas por K.O, Lo mismo para ti, si te tumban a la lona 3 veces pierdes automáticamente la partida, a menos que te salve la campana y pasen a otro round. Además, si tu rival te tumba a la lona, debes presionar repetidas veces la pantalla para levantarte y así no perder.
Este juego es sumamente desafiante, ya que no sabes que golpe lanzara tu oponente o combo de golpes que pueda noquearte inmediatamente o te aturda que haga que te siga golpeando hasta que pierdas. Pero si eres tú el más ágil y logras aturdir y noquear a tu rival, serás el ganador luego de que el réferi cuente hasta 10.

Pero para poder tener una batalla aún más a tu favor, además de agilidad puedes mejorar a tu personaje y personalizarlo para que luzca más rudo. Tienes un menú donde puedes mejorar las habilidades de tu personaje como la fuerza, resistencia, velocidad, corte, etc. Así como cambiar el estilo de pelea. Ten en cuenta que cada vez que inicias una partida te muestran los atributos de tus contrincantes, así que podrías guiarte para mejorar una cosa más que otra.
Además, mejorar la resistencia y corte puede ayudar a tu personaje a aguantar mejores los golpes de rivales, pero la velocidad y fuerza ayudan a tu personaje a ser más mortal con cada golpe. Claro mejorar estos atributos de tu boxeador cuesta cada vez más, así que debes elegir bien. También puedes mejorar otras habilidades extras como más vida, más estamina o ganar más puntos o monedas luego de cada ronda.

Pero lo que más me gusta de este juego, además de toda su divertida dinámica de pelea, es que cuando ganas un combate apareces es primera plana haciendo un K.O a tu rival, ese es un detalle increíble ya que te motiva a seguir jugando contra los otros oponentes y lograr la victoria. Suena como un Punch-Out!! con microtransacciones haha, es bastante notoria la inspiración, pero como a mi me encanta Punch-Out!! voy a probarlo a ver que tal, te recomiendo mucho jugarlos si es que aún no has tenido la oportunidad de hacerlo, en especial el de Wii, es una joyita.
