The North American Esports organisation Cloud 9 has fired multiple members of their Counter Strike:GO because they broke the COVID-19 rules. The players fired are Johnny "JT" Theodosiou, Ian "motm" Hardy, Aran "Sonic" Groesbeek. Further is the team’s coach, Tiaan "T.c" Coertzen, fired as well.

The organisation’s policy in regards to the virus, not allowing anyone outside of the org in the gaming house, was breached numerous times before the players and coach received a written warning. Following another breach after receiving the written warning the organisation fired the players.

The member’s behaviour is really unfortunate considering Cloud9 has been involved in numerous awareness campaigns about COVID-19 true their League of Legends branch.

While it’s not yet clear what the fired members will do JT, Sonic and T.c don’t have much time to find a new organisation. That is if they want to stay in North America as least . As South Africans their Visa is only valid for 30 days counting from the moment they got fired.
