Torchlight II is a role-playing game but it also contains a lot of action so it's quite interesting and I found it very good to present it to you this time. It was developed by Runic Games, initially for Microsoft and later released for other platforms such as OS X, Linux, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Its official launch in the market was on September 20, 2012 for PC and later, specifically on February 2, 2015 it was released for OS X, while on March 4, 2015 it was for Linux and finally on March 4, 2015 it was for the other digital platforms mentioned above. This videogame takes place in a fantasy world, where the story of the game shows us at the beginning the destruction of the city Torchlight at the hands of an alchemist, where our character looks for the cure for a disease that he possesses while he chases the trail of the destroyer to stop the fall of the city. This game is very much a sequel of the original Torchlight game that was later announced in a third installment for which the fans of this great video game were very excited about it, but I will talk about this later in another publication, since now I will concentrate on developing the second installment as the title mentions.

As far as the gameplay is concerned, the player must choose his character to use throughout the history of the game, where there are four classes of characters, which are Engineer who is a melee attack fighter, Outlander of ranged attack and magic, Berserker that is characterized by making attacks very fast in addition to possessing some special skills, and finally we have Embermage that mainly has elemental attacks and spells. But not only we can select the class of the characters, but also we can customize their facial appearance, select a pet (Wolves, cats, reindeer, birds, among others) that will accompany him during the adventure. After that there the player must begin to make the missions of the game, which will give us as rewards resources that we can sell and even buy some of them to improve our character and that he can progress in such a way that we can advance quickly in the history of the game and fulfill each one of the objectives that we are set.

The combat system is very fast and satisfactory, where we must face a large number of bosses and enemies to advance quickly in the plot of the game, so we can get rewards that will give us a higher level and skills to our character, to go so equip dolo in the best possible way and progress quickly to reach the highest rank that can have a player in this video game. The player must explore each one of the game modes that we have, where the one that I think is good is the story mode and multiplayer. The multiplayer mode where we can play both PVP and a cooperative mode, where the second one is always more interesting, the only bad thing is that there can only be 6 players per game, which I think is quite limited for the kind of game because when we have the massive presence of players, this turns out to be more interesting and attractive for the users.

As far as the graphics are concerned, the game is not bad, it is not perfect, but it works correctly. We must remember that the game is from the year 2015 which the graphic engine used is not as great as the current ones. As for the textures of the characters are quite good, as well as sites and scenarios which must travel the player. The visual effects do occur during the battles if I think they are somewhat limited, but as I said, they do their job. I think the game is quite colorful visually, and has good or correct animations. What is fantastic are the characters created by the developer of the game, that look with good details. What is the operation of the game is very good, almost perfect as the original presentation of this game. This title has left me quite happy, that although it is not like the current games is quite entertaining and good visually.

The sound of Torchlight II is really good, for me the best in the technical part of the game. It has good sound effects and ambience, which is a little rewarding because it sounds really good when we blow up a rival with a critical hit. The soundtrack is impressive, with good songs that accompany the plot of the game, where the music is according to the type of game, the situation in which we are and the best thing is that it is very variable which makes quite entertaining to listen to the music. The game is totally and perfectly translated into Spanish, where the creator of the game did an excellent job.

In conclusion, Torchlight II is a game that while not perfect I found it quite interesting and entertaining. The best thing is that it improved a lot with respect to the original saga, in each of the aspects that should have done it, however it seems to me that for the future delivery they should be much better. This game presents us new novelties in terms of gameplay and game modes, but in general and despite the fact that they applied great improvements, the game can be a little tedious in time so I think that if other things were added it would be much better. In the technical part and starting with the visual the game is correct, where the characters, the visual effects, the scenarios and the operation of the game that is almost perfect stand out. The sound is the best of the game, where it has excellent sound effects and a splendid soundtrack, which makes it quite complete in this aspect. For all the said is that I give it an 8 as for the gameplay, an 8.5 for the graphics and a 9.8 for the sound.

For all the above, I give a 8.76 out of 10 to Torchlight II.
