Punch Club is a game in the genre of sports management simulation which was developed by Lazy Bear Games. It was launched on January 9, 2016 for the digital platforms Microsoft Windows, OS X, iOS, Android, Nintendo 3ds, Playstation 4 and Xbox One. The main story of the game is about a mixed martial art fighter, where he tries to avenge his father who practiced the same sport and was killed. This game is a sports simulation, but not only that, but it combines other genres such as action, adventure and ROL (RPG). Although this is not one of the games that I try commonly, but the truth is that I found it very interesting due to the history, the combat system and the graphics that beyond that it is not of my liking because more pixel type than another thing, but of this I will develop it later, as I am developing each one of the aspects that I touch in my publications on the experience, review, analysis and review of the games. These aspects are the gameplay, graphics and sounds, as well as any other aspect that helps to complement the information in this publication.

The gameplay of Punch Club, where we begin with our character in his home, where as I mentioned earlier the game is interesting because it not only shows the style where the strategy and management with a life simulator is very important. Why life simulation? Because this game we must train in our home or in the open world, because if not done the player is losing several features that go down every day. These characteristics and variables are strength, speed and stamina, which are very necessary and important at the time of the fights, since these are the vital characteristics for a professional fighter. We as players must handle this character, so that he trains correctly and becomes the best mixed martial arts fighter so that he can avenge his father who is the main objective of the game and its history. The game has several places where we can train, either at home, outside, or in the gym, being this last one the most indicated.

Due to the characteristics Strength, Agility and Stamina the character has a good or bad performance in the combats, depending on the entertainment he has. The more strength the character has, the more damage it will do to the opponent, but the more energy it will consume, that's where the player's strategy comes in to manage this variable of the character. Agility is another important feature because the more agility there is, the more chance to give an impact to the opponent, besides dodging a blow. Stamina is the third of the characteristics and for me it is one of the most important, because the higher the stamina the less damage we can do and the higher the energy regeneration. The player must try to balance each of the features developed above, but this can also vary depending on the taste of each player. To increase these parameters are used machines in the gym, to increase either 1, 2 and three points in each of the variables, however this is not very viable and the best thing is to devote to a parameter in a certain day, but of course without stopping working the others.

The character travels to various places, from his home, the store, the gym and the places where the fights take place, in addition to working 'to obtain money within the game. Now we are going to talk about the fights that in many things we can do legally in a gym anywhere we are, but this last one can harm us since it diminishes the character's health. When we enter or are forced to fight, the player has the opportunity to adjust the different skills that the character has, such as including punches, kicks, and blocks, but of course we must always take into account what is the strength, agility and resistance, both of the enemy and of ourselves because this is usually spent. The player of the fight is determined by a health bar that must be reduced to zero before the boxer's health is reduced. These fights last until the life of one of the two boxers is over or until the 20 rounds, which is the duration of the bouts, are completed. The best thing is that the player fights and wins the fights, he goes up a level and acquires new skills that will give him more advantages when having future fights. The bad thing about the combats is that they are automatic, the player does not control the character during the battle, but between the rounds to modify the skills mentioned above.

Visually the game is nice, it's a bit retro and pixel-like. The best thing about the game is the animations that are very well achieved and very well varied, which makes the player entertain himself visually during the battles. Another thing is the objects we see in each of the environments are very different each which gives some realism to this game, beyond the graphics are not like the current games that are very impressive. The color palette used is really good. Another thing that I think is right is the fluidity of the game, where everything loads perfectly and showing the images in a very appropriate way. In short the graphic section is very correct, nothing surprising for the types of current games, but we must always take into account the type of game and that it is very accepted by many gaming in the world, who love this type of game.

The sound is good and dedicated to the 80s and 90s, but the truth is that I didn't like it that much, which doesn't mean it's bad. The sound effects that are given at the time of the battles are good and correct, but what is the soundtrack the music is not entertaining and lacks something greater variety, which if the themes that we have in the game are according to the type of game, which is something positive at this point in the sound section. What is the Spanish translations are well done and cared for, where he even makes some word games and uses our expressions. Anyway, the sound is correct, some are lime and others sand, I think the developer could do a better job in this section as he did in the graphic part.

In conclusion, Punch Club is a pretty good and entertaining game, especially in the gameplay and graphics. What is the story of the game is well created and adapted and even very similar to movies where mixed martial arts is the main plot. The game is good because not only the player must fight, but he must keep the training of the character so that he maintains in good level his characteristics and abilities. In addition to working to acquire money to support himself, being at home, going to the gym and even for the store. This game is an authentic simulation and management of the daily life, what makes it addictive for the lovers of this type of game, that mixes several genres, like action, adventure, sport and RPG. This is a quite complete game as for playability to be a game dedicated to the years 80-90. Graphically the game is good, very outstanding to be dedicated to the time of the years 80-90, the animations are varied and very well worked, being this the best thing of the game, besides the fluidity. Now, the sound is not surprising as perhaps the previous section, but does not mean that it is bad, the best are the sound effects, the dialogues between characters and the translation into Spanish. The soundtrack is not very good, it is boring because of the lack of variety. For all the mentioned is that I give a 9.8, a 9.5 to the Graphics and a 7 to the sound.
