Espero que todo este en orden en sus casas y sobretodo en su habitación o sala, donde disfrutan del mundo de los videojuegos, hoy les traigo un titulo bastante curioso, no tanto por su historia, narrativa o diversión como tal, si no mas bien por la ambientación y las curiosidades que rodean al titulo, pero principalmente, por donde se desarrollan los eventos del juego que no es ni mas ni menos que mi país, Venezuela, y en breves iré explicando porque esto me llama la atención mientras vamos viendo los primeros pasos en el videojuego ¿Interesado? seguro que si hermano, pues prepárate, porque vamos a comenzar.

Este juego salió en el año 2008 de la mano de la infame EA que para ese entonces aun no era tan infame, y de un estudio llamado Pandemic, el cual he probado algunos juegos, y bueno, para la época no exactamente los que mejor reputación tenían, pero sabían hacer algunos juegos interesantes, por desgracia en 2009 sus oficinas fueron cerradas, tan solo un año antes había salido al mercado Mercenaries 2 un juego donde tendríamos que manejar a un personaje perteneciente a un grupo especial de Mercenarios, que se dedicaba a hacer todo tipo de trabajos alrededor del mundo, con una fama considerable entre las empresas con características militares hasta por los mas infames tiranos, es aquí cuando esta compañía, llega a Venezuela con tal de cumplir algún trabajo para el Gobierno Venezolano.

Antes de comenzar la historia, tendremos a 3 personajes que conforman el grupo de mercenarios que llegan a Venezuela, puedes escoger uno de ellos, e iniciar la cinemática, en mi caso, tome a Mattias Nilsson, un Sueco indisciplinado pero con mucha resistencia y regeneración de vida, cada personaje tendrá alguna cosa que lo pueda distinguir o destacar del equipo.
Before starting the story, we will have 3 characters that make up the group of mercenaries that arrive in Venezuela, you can choose one of them, and start the cinematic, in my case, I took Mattias Nilsson, an undisciplined Swede but with a lot of stamina and life regeneration, each character will have something that can distinguish him or highlight him from the team.
Aquí conoceremos a un personaje llamado Blanco, y que intuyo que apareció en la secuela, que servirá de enlace para presentarnos al Mandatario de Venezuela, Ramon Solano, un tipo que se muestra carismático al principio, pero que honestamente, se ve a kilómetros que no es trigo limpio.

Pero bueno, esto poco preocupa al Mercenario, mientras pague todo estará en orden, la misión sobre la cual necesita ayuda, consiste en rescatar a uno de sus generales, atrapados por un sección del ejercito que se revelo y ahora lo tiene cautivo, nuestra misión es liberarlo y traerlo con vida.

Esta primera misión del juego, como podrán imaginar, servirá para hacernos un tutorial sobre como utilizar nuestros recursos para sembrar el caos, la destrucción y muerte a donde vayamos, también vamos a notar las capacidades de nuestro personaje, aunque la verdad no hay mucho que destacar, seremos un tanque con piernas a menos que recibamos muchísimo daño con calibres pesados o con impactos de explosivos, tampoco será un paseo por el parque, pero ya se pueden hacer una idea.

Con nuestro poder destructivo sacamos al general prisionero, solo para enterarnos al regresar de que nos han traicionado, aunque para ser honesto no sorprendió a casi nadie, lo que si me pareció casi un meme es la manera de escaparse de nuestro personaje, pues literalmente le gana a dos tipos que le estaban apuntando, uno desde atrás en la nuca y otro en toda la cara, para salir corriendo después, no sin antes recibir un tiro en la nalga izquierda como recuerdo, ya en un lugar seguro reunido con su equipo, la especialista en informática decide que es momento de irse pero un encabronado Mattias le dice que no, que se quedaran y buscaran Venganza, pues aparte de que un balazo en la nalga no se perdona, el mayor sacrilegio para un Mercenario, es que no cobre por su trabajo, por lo que aquí comienza la venganza de Mattias.

Para ser honesto, jugar un videojuego que esta ubicado en mi propio país y que el contexto sea un guerra civil y militar donde las empresas y las superpotencias están involucradas para imponer sus intereses en la región, y que nosotros no seamos mas que un facilitador de sus objetivos, es un contexto que me encanta, que yo sepa, pocos juegos exploran el poder apoyar a uno u otra facción aunque actualmente ya hay un lista interesante que podemos revisar, en el 2008 no es que hubiera mucho de donde escoger, siento que este juego pudo haber sido mucho más destacable si tan solo su historia, y sus gráficos hubiesen estado más a la altura, pero bueno, es entendible por el estudio y la procedencia del Videojuego... sin embargo, ¿Es un buen juego?
To be honest, playing a video game that is set in my own country and that the context is a civil and military war where corporations and superpowers are involved to impose their interests in the region, and that we are nothing more than a facilitator of their objectives, is a context that I love, as far as I know, Few games explore the possibility of supporting one faction or the other, although there is already an interesting list to check out, in 2008 there wasn't much to choose from, I feel that this game could have been much more remarkable if only its story and graphics had been more up to par, but well, it's understandable because of the studio and the origin of the videogame. .. however, is it a good game?

A pesar de que el juego sienta unas buenas bases para desarrollar la trama bélica, política y militar honestamente, se reduce todo a algo bastante genérico, personajes totalmente planos y sin mucho desarrollo y una historia principal que no es la gran cosa, sobretodo para la época, donde teníamos títulos como GTA IV o uno de los Farcry más innovadores, Farcry 2. Este titulo sin embargo, termino decepcionando a la critica que esperaban algo más llamativo, a pesar de todos los detalles y comparaciones, el juego se puede disfrutar muchísimo, podemos asaltar puestos de seguridad, enemistarnos o aliarnos con muchas facciones, tener acceso a sus ventajas e ir sembrando el caos por todo el país, si hubiesen dado un paso mas allá o quizás si EA hubiese puesto mas presupuesto y dedicado mas tiempo al titulo, tendría una Autentica saga que intuyo que podría hasta hacerla Competencia al propio Just Cause, pero por desgracia, eso no ocurrió y bueno, terminamos teniendo un titulo que puede ser divertido en algunos momentos, pero que no fue lo que se esperaba, pero mi gusto personal, no es una absoluto desastre, solo tiene varios aspectos que pueden ser mejorables, y eso no necesariamente tiene que condenar un juego al olvido.
Although the game lays a good foundation to develop the war, political and military plot, honestly, everything is reduced to something quite generic, totally flat characters without much development and a main story that is not much, especially for the time, where we had titles like GTA IV or one of the most innovative Farcry, Farcry 2. This title however, ended up disappointing the critics who expected something more striking, despite all the details and comparisons, the game can be enjoyed a lot, we can assault security posts, enemy or ally with many factions, have access to their advantages and go sowing chaos throughout the country, if they had gone a step further or perhaps if EA had put more budget and devoted more time to the title, I think it could even compete with Just Cause itself, but unfortunately, that didn't happen and well, we ended up with a title that can be fun at times, but it wasn't what was expected, but my personal taste, it's not an absolute disaster, it just has several aspects that can be improved, and that doesn't necessarily have to condemn a game to oblivion.

The storyline is fascinating, you'd get immersed into your character which is fun.
The graphics remind me a lot of the PS2, it's a good game with pretty and ugly faces, but fine to pass the time knowing a bit of history and its curiosities. Thanks again for stopping by!

Jajajajaj No puede ser ¿Tambien salió en la hojilla? jajajajs ese dato no me lo sabia, todas esas acusaciones, curiosamente, me dieron mas ganas de explorar el juego y bueno, aquí estamos acordándonos de este titulo todavía a pesar de los años jajajs, el rumor mas difundido es que en una misión secreta podías asesinar a Chavez o algo así.
Si! super loco igual que tambien el Call Of Duty Blackops creo que es donde sale Fidel lo nombraron en otro programa del gov jajajaja por un tema igual de conspiración. Lo que recuerdo haber jugado me parecio bueno, creo que estaban probando con ese titulo todo el tema de los escenarios destructibles para la época.
No sé, si no salen "el comandante supremo" y el "plátano" para aniquilarlos no vale la pena vivir esa fantasía virtual xd.
Por lo menos te puedes hacer la ilusión de que vas a combatir en Venezuela xd ya eso es algo, lo que mas me hizo gracia fueron los mapas como los hicieron, son igualitos al país al real ajsdjkasdj
