Building Challenge
Challenge: Build something in a video game!
Extra requirement: Show us the building process and add something related to Hive or HiveGC in your construction.
Word limit: 1200 words.
We're excited for this one! There's a lot of great games out there with some cool building mechanics. Minecraft, Terraria, Far Cry 5, Fallout 4, No Man's Sky, Valheim, Rust, Ark: Survival Evolved, The Sims and that's just naming a few. Couple that with the great creative minds of the Hive Gaming Community and we have a winner.
We don't only want to see your building projects. We want to learn about them and your chosen game as well. Make your post interesting to both read and watch. Themes that can be relevant to touch on are: What did you build? Why did you build it? Why do you like building in this game? What makes building good in this game? These are not questions that need to be answered but are meant for inspiration.
To give everyone a level playing field we're putting a limit on the number of words your post can be this week. This adds an extra layer to the challenge seeing as you will need to choose your words wisely. Those who publish their posts in several languages will of course be allowed to do so as long as the text doesn't exede 1200 words in its original language. Any template text you might have can be extra as well.
When it comes to adding something related to Hive or HiveGC in your construction it can be as simple as writing Hive with building blocks, building the Hive logo or writing it on a sign. Get creative!
What's in it for you?
Will there be rewards? Yes, and no. As with every post in the community entries will be eligible for curation. Curation is in no way guaranteed just by entering. Posts will still have to be of quality and be made with an effort. All entries must be your own original content. As always, engagement both inside and outside of the community will also be considered. Any attempts to partake just for curation rewards are easily recognizable and will be ignored.
In addition, all the rewards (100%) of this post will be used in the prize pool which means the winners will receive:
1st Place: 35% of the rewards of this post + 5 HIVE
2nd Place: 25% of the rewards of this post + 3 HIVE
3rd Place: 20% of the rewards of this post + 2 HIVE
4th Place: 10% of the rewards of this post
5th Place: 10% of the rewards of this post
How to take part:
Play some video games and build something (It can also be something you've built before).
Write a post in the Hive Gaming Community where you tell us about and show off your construction.
Create an unique title for your post! Do NOT include the word "contest" or anything linking it to this initiative in the title.
Tag your post with #HiveGCBuilding
Make sure your post doesn't exede 1200 words (explanation above).
Leave a link to your post in the comments to this post.
All of the above must be fulfilled for your post to be considered for curation and entry.
Extra notes!
- Only one submission per user. Extra submissions will be ignored for both curation and entry. We will always consider your first submission as part of the contest.
- Plagiarism will not be tolerated in any way or form. If you're not able to create your own work I would advise you not to enter. All entries will be checked and anyone found plagiarizing or stealing content from any source will be disqualified and muted/blacklisted from the community. It's simply not worth it.
Entry will be closed when this post pays out, one week from now. You can still choose to make your post after this happens but that means you won't be considered for the prizes. Might still get curated though!
