Mi Primera Videoconsola: Nintendo Famicom

Hola mi gente de Hive Gaming, un enorme placer estar nuevamente en esta maravillosa comunidad, en esta oportunidad quiero abrir mi participación en una nueva iniciativa de @marcoquin de Retro Gaming Blogging Challenge, una iniciativa que busca recordar nuestras experiencias como gamers en juegos que ya tienen varios años de sus lanzamientos, una gran iniciativa para recordar esos juegos que tanto jugamos en nuestros primeros pasos en el mundo de los videojuegos, el reto consiste en varias preguntas y las debemos desarrollar en una por publicación.
De cualquier manera pueden revisar el post completo de la iniciativa aquí . Por mi parte abro mi participación con la primera pregunta sobre mi primera videoconsola que tuve, en este caso y seguramente al igual que muchos games mi primera consola es: Nintendo Famicom.
Esta famosa consola de la compañía Nintendo tuvo un enorme éxito al final de la década de los 80´s y principios de los 90´s, es una consola de 8 bits que básicamente cautivó al mundo entero, entregándole una gran ventaja a la compañía Nintendo sobre sus competidores en la industria creciente de los videojuegos, la versión que me regalaron fue la Family Computer (Famicom), a pesar que esta consola se lanzó en plena década de los 80´s en Japón, me regalaron esta videoconsola en la segunda mitad de los años 90´s hay que resaltar que a Venezuela siempre tardaban algunos años en llegar los productos de la industria de los videojuegos, sobre todo los que provenían del continente asiático.
Recuerdo que de niño me regalaron esta consola, fue en diciembre, en nochebuena; la verdad no recuerdo que edad tenia pero recuerdo que nunca había experimentado gran emoción al quitar el envoltorio, no sabía cómo instalarla y mis padres la instalaron en el único cuarto que tenía televisión, puesto que por ser navidad no me dejaron utilizar el televisor de la sala. Mientras la familia disfrutaba en la sala de mi casa, comiendo, charlando y disfrutando de la navidad yo me encontraba en el cuarto con mi nueva consola, también se me acercaron mis primos y primas a la habitación para saber que ocurría.
Recuerdo que estábamos tan ansiosos de jugar que ni siquiera habíamos prendido la luz de la habitación, estaba totalmente oscuro y brillaba la pantalla de esos televisores viejos con una pantalla ovalada. Estaba con mis primos, sin embargo existía un problema, al parecer a “Santa” se le olvido regalarme un segundo mando, por lo que nos pasábamos el control cada vez, obviamente había la típica disputa de niños de “dame otra oportunidad, morí muy rápido” entre tantas excusas para no entregar el único mando al siguiente primo.
Esa noche para mi es especial ya que descubrí las videoconsolas y como jugar en ellas, tal vez fue el momento en que me comenzaron a apasionar los videojuegos y disfrutar de ellos mientas los demás charlaban en la sala, por supuesto esta consola solo tuvo ese mismo efecto conmigo, también con algunos primos, así que siempre le pedí a mis padres que me regalaran ese mando que “Santa” había olvidado.
Pensar en la consola Ness es recordar varios juegos clásicos que todo niño tenía en las cintas o cartuchos de esta creación de Nintendo, incluso al recordar el menú principal donde se escogían los juegos me llega a la mente ese típico sonido de la flecha de elección moviéndose hacia arriba y hacia abajo una y otra vez. Recuerdo muchos ratos maravillosos jugando en esta consola, incluso recuerdo muchos juegos que nos gustaba jugar a mis primos y a mí, incluso recuerdo el primer videojuego que jugué en la consola Ness de Nintendo.
Super Mario Bros
Este juego que le dio una gran fama a Nintendo y que hoy es su icono o imagen era mi juego con el que comenzaba mis experiencias en el mundo de los videojuegos en las consolas, tal vez jugué con mi padre uno que otro juego en PC, claro era tan pequeño que no entendía completamente los juegos, sin embargo, el primer juego que jugué en videoconsola fue Mario Bros, específicamente en ese regalo navideño.
Mario fue definitivamente un reto para un grupo de niños, al principio era todo un logro completar el primer nivel, llegar al segundo y completarlo era todo un motivo de alegría. Creo que esa madrugada nos acostamos muy tarde, sin embargo, como todo gamer en sus comienzos apenas se abrieron mis ojos pensaba era en sentarme a jugar con mi regalo navideño.
Recuerdo que siempre quería acompañar a mi madre a las compras, sabía que cerca del establecimiento donde ella realizaba sus comprar rutinarias había una tienda donde vendía las cintas para el Ness, revisar las cintas era algo que me emocionaba mucho.
Algo que me pasaba mucho y que no sé si hay algún gamer que también la haya sucedido es que las cintas normalmente tenían los mismos juegos, la presentación en la portada era distinta, incluso los colores del cartucho eran distintos, sin embargo, presentaban en muchos casos los mismos juegos. Nunca pude comprar una cinta con juegos totalmente distintos, todo lo contrario, si un juego me llamaba la atención debía convencer a mi madre para comprarla, al mismo tiempo aclarando que de los 12 juegos que ofrece esa cinta que quería 11 juegos ya los tenía en mis otras cintas, pero que la quería comprar por ese juego diferente que no estaban en mis otras cintas.
Esto me pasaba mucho y por supuesto explicarle a mi madre todo eso para convencerla una y otra vez era un trabajo tedioso, recuerdo que uno de los juegos que me emocionó para esa consola que no tenía en mis cintas era CONTRA, creo que fue el primer juego de disparos que tuve, claro si a esa edad no podía pasar del tercer nivel de Marios Bros, en CONTRA no pasábamos del primero. Este es uno de esos grandes juegos para la consola Ness, en mi humilde opinión, uno de los mejores.
Recuerdo muchos juegos fantásticos que nos entretenían por muchas horas, sobre todo cuando me compraron el segundo mando para así invitar a amigos y primos a jugar conmigo, a continuación les presentaré esos juegos que además de los que mencioné anteriormente me regalaron mucha diversión de niño en mi comienzo como gamer.
Excitebike
Un divertido juego de carrera de motos donde debíamos superar obstáculos y soportar grandes caídas, muy divertido juego de esta consola.
Circus Charlie
Un Juego donde podemos realizar muchos trucos de circo, desde equilibrio hasta montar un león y atravesar aros de fuego, sin duda uno de los juegos retro de Nintendo más recordados de la historia.
BaseBall
Este juego de verdad que me encantó, es definitivamente otro de mis juegos favoritos, es un juego de baseball pero que podemos apreciar cierto nivel de complejidad, saber batear, lanzar, además, de robarse las bases cuando sea necesario es algo muy emocionante, este es un juego que perdura a través del tiempo y que incluso en Tablet o celular lo sigo jugando. Jugar contra otro jugador puede ser realmente emocionante, sin duda uno de mis juegos favoritos de la época.
Además de otros grandes juegos que se convirtieron en parte de la historia de los videojuegos.

Muchos otros juegos que seguro se me están olvidando, sin embargo, puedo decir que pude disfrutar mucho ese regalo de navidad, posteriormente tuve la oportunidad de tener la Ness un poco más actualizada, sin embargo mi primera consola fue en definitiva la Famicom de Nintendo, un verdadero tesoro en mis recuerdos como gamer.
Si hay algún juego que pudieron jugar en estas consolas retro que no nombré y que le hace recordar, les pido que me lo dejen en los comentarios, seguro muchos recordaremos varios de esos juegos con mucha nostalgia. La ventaja es que hoy en dia podemos descargar los emuladores para volver a recordar esa época tan maravillosa.

This famous Nintendo console had a huge success at the end of the 80's and early 90's, it is an 8-bit console that basically captivated the whole world, giving a great advantage to the Nintendo company over its competitors in the growing industry of video games, the version I was given was the Family Computer (Famicom), although this console was launched in the middle of the 80's in Japan, I was given this console in the second half of the 90's, it should be noted that Venezuela always took a few years to get the products of the video game industry, especially those coming from the Asian continent.
I remember that as a child I was given this console, it was in December, on Christmas Eve; the truth is I do not remember how old I was but I remember that I had never experienced great emotion when I took off the wrapping, I did not know how to install it and my parents installed it in the only room that had a television, since because it was Christmas they did not let me use the TV in the living room. While the family was enjoying in the living room of my house, eating, chatting and enjoying Christmas I was in the room with my new console, my cousins and cousins also approached me to the room to know what was going on.
I remember that we were so anxious to play that we had not even turned on the light in the room, it was totally dark and the screen of those old TVs with an oval screen was shining. I was with my cousins, however there was a problem, apparently "Santa" forgot to give me a second controller, so we passed the controller each time, obviously there was the typical children's dispute of "give me another chance, I died too fast" among so many excuses for not giving the only controller to the next cousin.
That night for me is special because I discovered the video game consoles and how to play on them, maybe it was the moment when I started to be passionate about video games and enjoy them while the others were chatting in the living room, of course this console only had that same effect with me, also with some cousins, so I always asked my parents to give me that controller that "Santa" had forgotten.
Thinking about the Ness console is to remember several classic games that every child had in the tapes or cartridges of this Nintendo creation, even remembering the main menu where the games were chosen I remember that typical sound of the arrow moving up and down up and down again and again. I remember many wonderful times playing on this console, I even remember many games that my cousins and I liked to play, I even remember the first video game I played on the Nintendo Ness console.
Super Mario Bros
This game that gave a great fame to Nintendo and that today is its icon or image was my game with which I started my experiences in the world of video games on consoles, maybe I played with my father one or another game on PC, of course I was so small that I did not fully understand the games, however, the first game I played on a video console was Mario Bros, specifically in that Christmas gift.
Mario was definitely a challenge for a group of kids, at the beginning it was quite an achievement to complete the first level, reaching the second and completing it was a reason for joy. I think that early that morning we went to bed very late, however, like any gamer in its beginnings as soon as my eyes opened I was thinking about sitting down to play with my Christmas present.
I remember that I always wanted to go shopping with my mother, I knew that near the establishment where she did her routine shopping there was a store where they sold the tapes for the Ness, reviewing the tapes was something that excited me a lot.
Something that happened to me a lot and I don't know if there is any gamer that also happened to her is that the tapes usually had the same games, the presentation on the cover was different, even the colors of the cartridge were different, however, they presented in many cases the same games. I could never buy a tape with totally different games, on the contrary, if a game called my attention I had to convince my mother to buy it, at the same time clarifying that of the 12 games offered by that tape I wanted 11 games I already had in my other tapes, but that I wanted to buy it for that different game that was not in my other tapes.
This happened to me a lot and of course explaining to my mother all that to convince her over and over again was a tedious job, I remember that one of the games that excited me for that console that I didn't have in my tapes was CONTRA, I think it was the first shooting game I had, of course if at that age I couldn't pass the third level of Marios Bros, in CONTRA we didn't pass the first one. This is one of those great games for the Ness console, in my humble opinion, one of the best.
I remember many fantastic games that entertained us for many hours, especially when they bought me the second controller to invite friends and cousins to play with me, then I will present those games that in addition to those mentioned above gave me a lot of fun as a child in my early days as a gamer.
Excitebike
A fun motorcycle racing game where we had to overcome obstacles and endure big falls, very fun game of this console.
Circus Charlie
A game where we can perform many circus tricks, from balance to ride a lion and go through hoops of fire, certainly one of the most memorable retro Nintendo games in history.
BaseBall
I really loved this game, it is definitely another of my favorite games, it is a baseball game but we can appreciate a certain level of complexity, knowing how to bat, pitch, and steal bases when necessary is something very exciting, this is a game that lasts through time and even on Tablet or cell phone I still play it. Playing against another player can be really exciting, undoubtedly one of my favorite games of the time.

Que triste que el día del estrenod e tu primera videoconsola haya venido solo con un control, supongo que las ansias te consumieron en ese momento, aún así supongo q los siguientes días la pudiste disfrutar a plenitud, uno de los videojuegos a los que más tiempo le dediqué fue a Baseball, era tan sencillo pero a la vez increíble, me gustaba jugar contra la pc y tratar de hacer home run, y escuchar el mítico sonido cuando la sacabamos del estadio, es genial que te hayas unido a este challenge bro, éxito!
Gracias por tu comentario, había momentos jugando baseball que la PC era bastante difícil de vencer, había un truco en la Ness apretando todas las flechas del control y al hacer el picheo era imposible para que el bateador impactara la pelota. En mi caso era la última opción para vencer a la PC jajaja
Jugando con otros jugadores también hacia de ese juego bastante emocionante, claro no se permitía utilizar el truco.
La verdad nunca supe de ese truco en Baseball, y si, llegábamos a un punto en el que era bastante difícil ganarle a la cpu, pero eso era lo genial de los juegos de la época, que su dificultad era alta, era como un incentivo para mejorar nuestro nivel de juego y ganar
si, disfrute mucho esa época dorada de las consolas (a pesar que no soy viejo).

I finished "Super Mario Bros", played "Contra", "Excitebike" and many others. Thank you for reminding me of "Donkey Kong Jr.", I finished that game too, or rather loop it, as it had no end. :) I think that game had 4 levels and then it all started again. We would rescue our dad and give "evil" Mario a kick in the ass. :)
