World of Warcraft Classic ~ hitting level 70 with a few days to spare!

World of Warcraft Classic!!

I've been getting a bit bored of it, honestly. But I feel this need to have just one character at level 70 so I'm on the same footing as my friends when Wrath of the Lich King releases in a few days.

It's funny. I can spend houuurrrrsss farming up ores and fish. But levelling? The experience is tiring and boring and my attention span is lacking and if someone dares to attack me and interrupts this god-awful process I die a little inside. I'm just slowly plodding away, grateful that there's an XP buff at the moment.

Then it happened. Finally, today, I reached level 70! Wrath of the Lich King Classic — the peak of this game! — arrives in 5 days and I have managed to make it without the act of "no-lifing". 🤣

I had these plans of "no-lifing" the game, and if I had I probably would've been 70 a week or so ago. Alas. I really wasn't in the mood.

I haven't really done much gaming at all lately. I have my new camera to play with and I'm getting a new PC in a few days and I have this weird tendency to not want to play anything because I'll be experiencing it better in a few days. 😅

So during this period of time where I'm waiting for parts for my new PC to arrive and am plodding around in WoW, waiting, I no longer have the burden of Reaching Level 70 upon my shoulders and I can go forth and do other things. More enjoyable things.

Namely fishing and mining and blacksmithing.

I maxxed out my cooking very early on, but at the time of writing this... my fishing is at the lowly level of 190, I'm only up to mining Mithril, and my blacksmithing isn't much better.

Being that there is still a good 5 days before the expansion launches, other people are fighting to level their professions too... so I'm tempted to not even level my Blacksmithing just yet and focus on capitalising upon other peoples profession urges.

I will have ALL the gold. All of it. 😆

Plus, fishing is necessary. I want my Sea Turtle.

Before I would have all the gold, though, I decided to spend a chunk of my gold. I have no interest in pug dungeons with randoms and all of my friends are waiting for Lich King to hit, so, I went and attempted to buy a bunch of gear off the auction house.

I say "attempted" because I didn't end up buying anything. Everything was massively overpriced and inspired my desire to continue on with my professions to craft my own things because dayum people were greedy.

(Yes. I would be too if I were in their position. xD)

I find the levelling and questing process tedious as hell, yet I love this — farming. I can literally just roam around for hours upon hours, mining ore and fishing up fish from fishing holes whilst rocking out to various tunes. It puts my brain in a nice, mellow spot and I just enjoy it.

Today I started my farming adventure with 1112 gold on my person...

Let's see how much I can make before Lich King descends upon us! 😁💰💰💰

Until next time! 🙃

If I ever get around to getting PS5, I'll probably feel the same way. I've been looking at games like Wukong and others, and can't wait to try them out. I was considering waiting to play Elden Ring on PS5 but I just got so curious I got it for PS4a and still ended up being a beautiful and entertaining game -- although a little hard at times lol.

I love that screenshot of the crystals against the red-pink background. Congratulations on reaching level 70, grinding to higher levels is tough but rewarding. The idea of growing stronger is a nice feeling.

Yeah, I don't know what it is but I'd just rather be completely bored than play proper things at the moment because it'll be better in a few days. 😅 World of Warcraft is something that I can just dawdle about in while I wait. No need to worry about savefiles or anything and starting all over again when I get the new computer. (I don't use cloud-saving)

I'm hoping to play Elden Ring on my new PC! It had a lot of issues on some PC systems when it released, framedrops and stutters and freezes and things, and while certain fixes worked for some people they only worked a tiny bit for me and didn't really fix anything. It will be nice to finally play it properly! Assuming I still don't have the issues... 😅😅😅

Elden Ring on PC sounds gorgeous. I remember getting Cyberpunk 2077 for PS4 and being so jealous of everyone playing it on PS5 and PC because their screenshots were gorgeous. Felt like me and them were playing two completely different games lol. Hopefully you don't have too many issues or any at all. I read the game was a bit glitchy and unbalanced at launch but From Software's had the better part of a year to do patches and such. Last night I played Elden Ring for 3 hours straight and had no problems but it's definitely lagged or frozen at least once in the last week or so.

They have very good expectations for the expansion that is to come, I hope it is as much or more than they expect from it. It is the idea, that it be more content and that it be fun. I wish you to have hours and hours of fun.

I'm hoping Dragonflight will be great! Bringing back talent trees and actually useful crafting professions is a really good start. 😊

I would really like to try this game one day, but it looks seriously very extensive hahaha, I'm glad you reached level 70 soon, I'm sure it cost your time and it's something worth admiring!!

Not much time, thankfully. 😅 If I was doing this before this current patch, it would've taken me a few months to reach this level. Thanks to the current patch though, it only took me a few weeks.

It's a pretty extensive game! But it's easily one you can be casual in if you wanted. 🙂

Hahaha it must be a good patch!

Thanks for the information, I'm sure one day I'll try it, being casual I'm sure I won't be so overwhelmed. 😅

I guess this game will never get old. Even now, I'm sure there are 30 people in the Hive Gaming community playing it. That proves how successful the game is.

30 people playing it, and all of us are probably playing different versions of it. xD One of many free private servers, the current retail version of Shadowlands and the upcoming Dragonflight, and classic Wrath of the Lich King.

It's a classic but still looks too beautiful.
