One of the oldest and at the same time most popular video game genres is the platformer, the amount of titles in history that have used platform mechanics both as a main focus and as an additional aspect in the gameplay is almost infinite. When thinking about platform video game most probably the first video game that comes to the mind of everyone is Mario Bros, which undoubtedly is among one of the most famous sagas in the world, although as a child I got to play a lot to a Mario title, there were also two other platform titles to which I got to dedicate many hours of fun and although I never got to finish any of these titles as a child I could always play them every day without getting bored, I will present which were the three platform video games which were my favorites at the time.
Donkey Kong Country I And II
Donkey Kong Country was the beginning of one of the best Donkey Kong sagas and a title loved by almost all fans who got to play it in his childhood, in this title we could play with both Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong and always preferred to have Diddy as the main character, I remember that during my childhood I got to play these titles in Emulators and my command of English was practically nil so I did not understand any of the story and only knew that I had to go forward eliminating the enemies that appeared on the road.
Undoubtedly one of the best things this title had was the ability to use the Rhino to go at full speed through the level while you were eliminating enemies with great ease, I remember that I never managed to get very far in this title and always ended up losing all lives to advance some levels so I had to start again from the beginning, When I stopped playing I did not know that the Emulators had the option to save and every time I entered the game I had to start again so I had reached the point where I knew the entire first level by heart and knew the location of all the letters and the secret walls that you could break with the rhinoceros.
Another title to which I dedicated many hours was Donkey Kong Country II where we could play with Diddy Kong and Dixie Kong, for some reason this game was always more complicated than the first, but at the same time I liked much more its style of maps where we started on a pirate ship which was much more interesting and I could play with Dixie which had a different style to throw the barrels to Diddy and could glide with her hair which was very funny, As with Donkey Kong Country I I could never finish this title as a child and one of the levels that gave me more problems and that I remember the most was the second level where we had to go through the sails and ropes of the ship jumping but almost always ended up falling into the void by making bad jumps. It was incredible how when I was a kid I could like a game so much when I never made much progress and almost always started over from the beginning.
Super Mario World
Perhaps the only Mario game that I got to play several times as a child was Super Mario World and although I did not get to be as fanatic of this title as I was with the two Donkey Kong Country in the same way I was entertained several hours with this game, this Mario title has been another very famous and cult title for several players, The variety in their worlds as well as the secret paths that you could unlock in some levels either by reaching the goal by another path or what was more frequent, finding other exits in the haunted mansions, as in almost all deliveries of Mario in this title we also had the help of one of my favorite characters of the franchise as it is Yoshi and as for the transformations of Mario were the most common.
Some time later through a cell phone emulator I decided to try again this great title on the recommendation of several friends and now with a better ability I wanted to try to complete it and to my surprise I not only completed the game, it was so much fun that I got with Super Mario World that I got to complete it 100% getting all the shortcuts and secret exits, I even remember having completed the additional levels of the star world which could get to have a fairly considerable difficulty and more taking into account that I was playing on a mobile emulator.
These were the three main platform video games that I enjoyed during my childhood and although of the three I only got to complete only one and it was several years later I must admit that the hours I had fun with these titles playing even the same levels over and over again were fantastic. Now that time has passed I think it would be a good idea to try to complete the first two Donkey Kong Country titles to remember that time again.

Uno de los géneros de videojuegos más antiguos y al mismo tiempo mas populares es el de plataformas, la cantidad de títulos en la historia que han utilizado las mecánicas de plataformas tanto como enfoque principal como un aspecto adicional en la jugabilidad es casi infinita. Al momento de pensar en videojuego de plataformas muy probablemente el primer videojuego que viene a la mente de todo el mundo es Mario Bros que, sin lugar a dudas esta entre una de las sagas más famosas del mundo, aunque de pequeño llegue a jugar bastante a un titulo de Mario, también hubieron otros dos títulos de plataformas a los cuales les llegue a dedicar muchas horas de diversión y aunque nunca llegue a terminar ninguno de estos títulos de pequeño siempre los podía jugar todos los días sin aburrirme, les presentare cuales fueron los tres videojuegos de plataformas los cuales eran mis favoritos en ese momento.
Donkey Kong Country I y II
Donkey Kong Country fue el inicio de una de las mejores sagas de Donkey Kong y un título querido por casi todos los fanáticos que lo llegaron a jugar en su infancia, en este título podíamos jugar tanto con Donkey Kong como con Diddy Kong y siempre prefería tener a Diddy de personaje principal, recuerdo que durante mi infancia estos títulos los llegue a jugar en Emuladores y mi dominio del inglés era prácticamente nulo por lo cual no entendía nada de la historia y solo sabía que tenía que ir avanzado eliminado a los enemigos que aparecieran en el camino.
Sin lugar a dudas de las mejores cosas que tenía este título era el poder usar el Rinoceronte para ir a toda velocidad por el nivel al mismo tiempo que ibas eliminando a los enemigos con una gran facilidad, recuerdo que nunca logre llegar muy lejos en este título y siempre terminaba perdiendo todas las vidas al avanzar algunos niveles por lo cual tenía que volver a comenzar desde el principio, cuando dejaba de jugar no sabía que los Emuladores tenían la opción para guardar y cada vez que entraba en el videojuego tenía que comenzar de nuevo por lo cual había llegado el punto en donde me conocía todo el primer nivel de memoria y sabia la ubicación de todas las letras y las paredes secretas que podías romper con el rinoceronte.
Otro título al cual le dedique muchas horas fue al Donkey Kong Country II en donde podíamos jugar con Diddy Kong y Dixie Kong, por algún motivo este videojuego siempre me resultaba más complicado que el primero, aunque al mismo tiempo me gustaba mucho más su estilo de mapas en donde comenzábamos en un barco pirata lo cual me resultaba mucho más interesante además de poder jugar con Dixie la cual tenía un estilo para lanzar los barriles diferente a Diddy y podía planear con el cabello lo cual resultaba muy divertido, al igual que con Donkey Kong Country I nunca pude terminar este título de pequeño y uno de los niveles que más problemas me daba y que más llegue a recodar fue el segundo nivel en donde debíamos ir por las velas y cuerdas del barco dando saltos pero que prácticamente siempre terminaba cayendo al vacío al hacer mal los saltos. Era increíble como de pequeño me podía gustar tanto un juego cuando incluso nunca llegaba avanzar mucho y casi siempre volvía a comenzarlo desde el principio.
Super Mario World
Tal vez al único juego de Mario que llegue a jugar en varias ocasiones de pequeño fue Super Mario World y aunque no llegue a ser tan fanático de este título como lo fui con los dos Donkey Kong Country de igual forma me entretenía varias horas con este videojuego, este título de Mario ha sido otro título muy famoso y de culto para varios jugadores, la variedad en sus mundos así como los caminos secretos que podías desbloquear en algunos niveles ya fuera por llegar a la meta por otro camino o lo que era más frecuente, el encontrar otras salidas en las mansiones embrujadas, al igual que en casi todas las entregas de Mario en este título también contábamos con la ayuda de uno de mis personajes favoritos de la franquicia como lo es Yoshi y en cuanto a las trasformaciones de Mario eran las más comunes.
Tiempo después mediante un emulador de teléfono móvil decidí volver a probar a este gran título por recomendación de varios amigos y ahora con una mejor habilidad quería tratar de completarlo y para mi sorpresa no solamente completé el videojuego, fue tanto la diversión que conseguía con Super Mario World que llegue a completarlo al 100% consiguiendo todos los atajos y salidas secretas, incluso recuerdo haber completado los niveles adicionales del mundo estrella los cuales podían llegar a contar con una dificultad bastante considerable y más tomando en cuenta que jugaba en un emulador de móvil.
Estos fueron los tres principales videojuegos de plataformas que disfrutaba durante mi infancia y aunque de los tres solamente llegue a completar uno solo y el mismo fue varios años después debo admitir que las horas que me divertía con estos títulos jugando incluso los mismos niveles una y otra vez eran fantásticas. Ahora que el tiempo ha pasado creo que sería buena idea intentar completar los dos primeros títulos de Donkey Kong Country para volver a recodar esa época.

Platform games were the start of it all, they were also one of the games that scared me the most. Cuando era pequeño, el no poder avanzar me daba miedo, caerme y tener que empezar desde 0 era mi pesadilla, sin embargo este género es uno de los que más he disfrutado y lo seguiré haciendo. Aún recuerdo ir en mi rinoceronte en DK, realmente era emocionante. Los juegos de Mario también los disfruté, siempre serán juegos que recordaré con todo mi corazón.
Fueron el inicio y para muchos casi todo los videojuegos de la infancia tenían algo de plataformas, a mi me pasaba igual con los juegos en donde los saltos te hacían caer al vacío y perder una vida Lol, otros era solo caer al inicio de todo lo cual igual era algo frustrante si te caías muy seguido.
El rinoceronte de DK era lo mejor al igual que los Yoshis de Colores :D
Solo he probado el “Super Mario World” pero admito que es un juego de plataforma bastante aceptable jejeje, a mi en lo personal me divierte mucho!

Ese ha sido el único que he completado al 100% aunque recuerdo una época cuando en clases un compañero llevaba un GBA y todos jugábamos Mario Bros en medio de las clases Lol. Saludos :D
Mario World y Diddy Kong son excelentes juegos , Mario si lo que lo re jugaba en mi SNES , que lindos recuerdos.
La SNES tenia un catalogo de juegos increíbles, yo los jugaba precisamente en un emulador de SNES y eran lo mejor de todo, aunque debo decir que jugar Mario en móvil no fue tan complicado como pensaba aunque claro fue la versión de GBA
Donkey Kong Country lo jugué en mi PC, con un emulador también pero no recuerdo cual fue. Mario World si lo disfruté y pasé muchas cosas por ese juego, no fue nada fácil jajaja habían niveles desafiantes aunque el recurso del dinosaurio le daba más dinamismo a Mario. ¡Un juegazo!

Yo utilizo SNES9x es muy cómodo y creo que es de los mas comunes, para mi siempre el mejor personaje fue Yoshi y me daba pena donde debías dejarlo caer al vacío para tu llegar a la plataforma jajaja. El mundo estrella eran pocos niveles pero la dificultad era otra cosa y podías pasar mucho en un solo nivel.

para Snes uso el SNES9x y bueno los Room hace años descargué carpetas con prácticamente todos los clasicos de las consolas para jugar y recordar el pasado :D
Siempre he querido probar los donkey Kong, como un fanático de los plaraformeros en general no es difícil ver qué se encontraban adelantados a su época, tanto en términos visuales como en su gameplay.
Cuando lo piensas bien la forma en que estaba diseñado y como se presentaba era muy original para esa época y incluso hoy en día sus gráficos son muy buenos, yo creo que tratare de completar ambos ahora que seguramente no pierda siempre en el mismo nivel y que además se que se puede guardar tu progreso Lol, Saludos :D
