The steampunk theme is deeply integrated into the PUBG Mobile 3.8 release through several core gameplay and design elements:
1. Steampunk Frontier Mode (New Themed Mode)
• Set in an alternate reality with steam-powered technology, brass aesthetics, and mechanical beasts.
• Features giant “Steam Train” battles, where players fight on or around moving trains with steampunk-style machinery.
• Custom weapon and outfit skins inspired by gears, goggles, and Victorian-era machinery.
2. Visual Design & Atmosphere
• Themed UI and lobby interface with bronze gears, pipes, and steam.
• Steampunk-style vehicle skins, parachutes, emotes, and even gear-like gun attachments.
3. New Steampunk Gear & Mechanics
• ODM (Omni-Directional Mobility) Gear crossover from Attack on Titan fits the steampunk motif.

What a crazy cross over, I never thought this anime would get this far although PUBG has done so many unique things to differentiate itself from the others that I don't know what surprises me, always making a difference.
Right? PUBG keeps leveling up! This crossover totally blows my mind. For me, it’s wild—being from Honduras, a lot of the concepts in this release are totally foreign. I still have to piece things together from English vids and promos. It’s a strange but cool challenge to dive into. My wife’s a huge anime and film fan, and she’s all about steampunk sci-fi tech, so she was all in from the start. ¿Tú ya lo jugaste / Do you play? What do you think of the crossover?
