One of our first contacts with video games may have been the Tetris with the popular portable Atari, and most likely we liked this game, mainly by the fact that not only fun, but in turn we trained and developed skill and dexterity, mainly by the fact of creating a mental algorithm to determine what moves to make, and that these were the most effective, a game that allowed many of us to discover that interest in complex things in a very fun way, there were even many versions of this popular game that have been coming out in different game consoles, in fact, to date are still releasing various versions of this game, and a clear example of this has been the great "Tetris Effect".

First of all, an important question would be: what made this game addictive, and the answer is very precise: Variety, because Tetris Attack was a quite varied, entertaining and motivating game to advance level after level, the game offered a fairly simple and complete menu in which we were offered two game modes, the typical 1 player mode and multiplayer.

Both modes offered a couple more options, the most varied was the 1 player mode, in which we could play endless games, the famous Time Trials, a Stage mode, puzzle and a mode vs against the cpu, this last mode and the multiplayer mode in my opinion were the most entertaining, because as every gamer, competitiveness is something that is part of us, and in these game modes we would find it without a doubt.

In the endless game mode, we could adjust the level and difficulty of our preference, being possible to choose from a total of 99 levels, with the typical difficulty modes. This mode could be used mainly for training, because the real difficulty was generated when we faced the computer or a friend.

In the Stage mode, it was possible to choose our character among 6 options, where of course Yoshi was, this mode also represented a challenge because we would be defeating the rivals in turn until completing all the Stages.

The game had a very good musical atmosphere, which did not distract us but rather helped us to concentrate even more, the animation in our victories had a very good level of detail and at no time did the game become boring.

GAME OVER.png

The game was so entertaining that even losing gave us some laughter because of the Game Over image that was shown to us, in the same way, we always had a life saver that were the passwords that were offered to us to continue our games later, something quite good because it allowed us to keep our progress.

It is true that this Tetris was not like the common one known to all, because here we had to be very careful to join three blocks horizontally, and the difficulty was generated with the fact of having restrictions, for example, we could only move pieces horizontally, so we had to help each other to put them in ladder mode and take a piece to the place we wanted.

The AI was very well adapted according to the difficulty level, and to play at the highest levels, we had to have had a lot of practice before, because if we decided to make a radical jump in level, we ended up losing very easily.

Tetris Attack was one of those great classics of the SNES that even served as an example and inspiration for current video games, such as Candy Crush, which works with very similar mechanics, although a classic will always be irreplaceable. It was incredible the way to forget the world and just focus on this game, an impact that very few have managed to generate.

Review: Tetris Attack - Un juego realmente adictivo

PORTADA.png

GAME OVER.png

Excelente post hermano saludos
