I am pleased to present yet another great battle you should study to get better at playing to earn!
Our opponent is @kobold-djawa.
We choose the mighty Yodin Zaku as our summoner! Yodin shines in mid-mana battles and especially with this ruleset. Lots of blast damage coming in if our opponent isn’t prepared to face our angry fire dog.
Our card lineup: Magnor (enrage, Trample and Taunt), Scavo Chemist (Cleanse and Slow), tower Griffin (Protect and Flying), Supply Runner (Swiftness), Serpentine Spy (Opportunity), and closing with Spark Pixies (Flying and Stun).
Here we go for the central MAGNOR STOM Plan! When paired with Yodin are 5+3 total damage with blast or 8+4 if Magnor is enraged. Double that if we manage to proc trample.
As support, we have Scavo chemist to cleanse our Magnor if he stays stunned or something and Tower Griffing to help our main tank survive and make our glass cannon survive a couple of hits in case our opponent has some opportunity monsters too.
We also have good secondary fast damage and more support with Supply Runner, Serpentine spy, and Spark Pixies. We hope to soften our opponent’s tank with our fast archers to see if we can Trample over Magnor.
Let’s take a look over our opponent's summoner and monsters!
Summoner: Quix the Devious paired with Life (-1 archery damage and -1 Speed). Ouch! The lovely counter is here, negating the +1 archery bonus from Yodin and canceling our Swiftness bonus.
Monsters: Pelacor Conjurer (Divine Shield, Flying, and Magic Reflect), nice cheap tank with high initiative. Blinding Reflector (Reflect Magic) is a secondary tank here. Lone Boatman (repair). Adelaide Brightwing (Flying, Resurrect, Immunity and Repair). Doctor Blight (Affliction, Camouflage, Poison, and Scavenger) and closing with Diamond Dragon (Flying, Cleanse, and the Last Stand).
Our opponent goes for magic damage offensive and a pseudo heal with a repair. Let’s see if this is enough to stop Magnor from getting cold on his feet!
Round 1:
Our high initiative monsters deal good damage to the first four monsters, removing some necessary armor and divine shields from the front lines.
Magnor offs the Pelacor Conjurer giving us our first trample STOMP, erasing both Blinding Reflector and Lone Boatman in one fell swoop!
Pelacor Conjurer gets resurrected but gets its divine shield taken down by blast splash damage.
Our opponent's magic monsters get some damage on Magnor.
Still, with 15 HP and two armor, Magnor survives one more round and gets ENRAGED! Woohoo!
Round 2:
Our spark Pixies remove Pelacor Conjurer and leave a significantly damaged Adelade Brightwing in the first position.
Our very angry Magnor the STOMPS Adelade tramples over Doctor Blight too!
Leaving only Diamond Dragon, which interestingly goes into Last Stand hulk mode. Let’s note that Magnor managed to deal 24 damage this round.
Round 3:
Our Spark Pixies stun the Diamond Dragon, which gets finished by Magnor and Serpentine Spy, giving our team a flawless victory!
MAGNOR STOMP! This was a fascinating and short battle; Two attacks of trample with Yodin as a summoner is a lot of damage for any team to make a comeback.
Maybe if our opponent switched Lone Boatman with Adelade her flying could have helped, but overall our damage was too much too fast.
